Accountant – Job Description

Company: Madariz Impex Pvt. Ltd.
Location: Kuzhivelippadi, Ernakulam
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the Company's day-to-day accounting operations across multiple business entities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST compliance, payroll processing, auditing support, financial reporting, and international trading accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain day-to-day accounting records and financial transactions.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain ledgers, journals, and cash books.
Process employee payroll, salary statements, and statutory deductions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Cash Flow Statement.
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) and ensure statutory compliance.
Assist with Income Tax, TDS, and other regulatory compliance requirements.
Coordinate and support internal, statutory, and tax audits.
Handle accounting activities related to import and export transactions, foreign vendors, and international trade documentation.
Maintain accurate financial records for multiple group companies simultaneously.
Prepare MIS reports and management reports as required.
Verify vouchers, invoices, purchase orders, and payment documentation.
Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and government authorities.
Perform any other accounting, finance, taxation, or administrative duties assigned by the Company.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com) / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience in GST filing, payroll, financial reporting, and auditing is mandatory.
Experience in import/export accounting and international trade is preferred.
Proficiency in Tally Prime, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Working Conditions

Office Location: Kuzhivelippadi, Ernakulam
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Weekly Off: Friday
The selected candidate should be willing to handle accounting responsibilities for multiple companies within the group.
Additional working hours may be required during GST filing, audits, financial closing, or other statutory deadlines.
