Video Editor & Motion Designer (VFX)

About the Role

Pythal is looking for a skilled Video Editor & Motion Designer (VFX) with 2+ years of professional experience to join the creative team.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of video editing, motion design, visual effects, and visual storytelling, with the ability to turn creative ideas into engaging, high-quality content.

You will work on content for social media, product campaigns, brand communication, and digital platforms, while maintaining Pythal's premium visual identity.

Key Responsibilities

Edit high-quality videos for Instagram, YouTube, digital campaigns, and other platforms.
Create engaging Reels, short-form videos, promotional content, and campaign videos.
Develop motion graphics, text animations, transitions, and visual effects.
Create VFX-based compositions and visual treatments when required.
Work with raw footage and transform it into polished, engaging content.
Handle colour correction and colour grading.
Add and edit music, sound effects, voiceovers, and other audio elements.
Create visually strong openings, transitions, and storytelling sequences.
Work with the creative team to develop concepts and execute visual ideas.
Adapt videos into different formats and aspect ratios for various platforms.
Maintain consistency with Pythal's visual language and brand guidelines.
Manage project files and deliver final videos within deadlines.
Make revisions based on creative direction and feedback.

Requirements

2+ years of professional experience in video editing, motion design, VFX, or a related creative role.
Strong understanding of video editing, motion graphics, and visual storytelling.
Proficiency in professional editing and motion design software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Experience creating motion graphics, VFX, compositing, transitions, and text animation.
Good understanding of colour correction and colour grading.
Strong sense of timing, composition, typography, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
Ability to understand a creative brief and translate ideas into strong visual content.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage deadlines.
Ability to take feedback positively and make revisions efficiently.
A strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating previous work is required.

Preferred Skills

Experience working with premium, fashion, lifestyle, beauty, children's, or consumer brands.
Experience creating content specifically for Instagram and other social media platforms.
Knowledge of advanced VFX, compositing, 3D, or animation workflows.
Experience with AI-assisted creative tools for image or video generation.
