Job Title: Maintenance Executive – Resort Operations
Department: Engineering & Maintenance
Location: Kottigehara, Chikmagalur, Karnataka
Reporting To: Chief Engineer / Resort Manager

Job Summary

The Maintenance Executive is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of all resort facilities, guest rooms, public areas, staff accommodations, utilities, and engineering equipment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, prompt resolution of technical issues, and maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, DG sets, pumps, STP/WTP, and other engineering systems.
Ensure smooth functioning of guest rooms, villas, restaurants, banquet areas, swimming pools, staff accommodations, and public areas.
Conduct routine inspections to identify and rectify maintenance issues.
Attend and resolve maintenance complaints from guests and operational departments promptly.
Monitor utility consumption and support energy-saving initiatives.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs, servicing, and AMC activities.
Maintain records of maintenance schedules, equipment servicing, and breakdown reports.
Ensure compliance with safety, fire, and statutory regulations.
Assist in renovation, refurbishment, and resort improvement projects.
Maintain inventory of engineering tools, spare parts, and consumables.
Support the engineering team during emergencies and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in maintenance operations, preferably in resorts, hotels, hospitality properties, or facility management.
Sound knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
Experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
Basic knowledge of safety standards and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance reporting.
