Program Coordinator - Language cum Health
Job Summary:
The Program Coordinator – Language cum Health will be responsible for providing on-site support to all the key stakeholders under the project, coordinating and mentoring support provided on regular basis. To ensure the long-term sustainability of the project, offer language and health related interventions to both children and teachers at the intervention schools.
Key Responsibilities:
Teacher Engagement and Support:
· Facilitate regular school visits-(2 schools Per day) to observe the language classes, provide feedback, and support teachers in strengthening instructional grade wise strategies
· Guide teachers and collaborate with middle, high and higher secondary school teachers to co-plan and integrate supplementary language activities that align with the Tamil Nadu state (SCERT) curriculum.
· Conduct capacity-building workshops and on-site mentoring to promote contextual, activity-based language teaching for support required children.
· Develop low-cost locally relevant TLMs for Language and health programs.
· Support teachers in lesson planning, differentiated instruction, and peer learning methods that help reach diverse learners.
Student-Focused Demonstration:
· Conduct sessions in classrooms to model effective language and health sessions instruction strategies and student engagement techniques during Regular school visits.
· Design and deliver short-term language and health enrichment activities such as reading circles, IEC Materials, vocabulary games, storytelling, and roleplay for students.
· Create an inclusive and engaging environment to encourage participation from reluctant or struggling learners.
Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting:
· Maintain school-level records of teacher engagement, classroom changes.
· Provide regular reports to the Technical Officer on progress, challenges, and learnings.
· Facilitate and support the assessments to track student learning progress in language and health interventions.
· Updating the MIS on daily basis
School Management Committee:
· Facilitate SMC meetings in middle and high schools
· Review along with the SMC members on student learning, promote community accountability, and support WASH facility maintenance for a safe and inclusive environment.
Other responsibilities assigned by the Kalike team to ensure the overall well-being of adolescent girls and to achieve the organization’s vision.
Program Coordinator - STEM cum Life Skills
Job Summary:
The Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in enhancing the teaching-learning process of Science, Mathematics, Coding, and Robotics at the grassroots level. This role involves organizing capacity building workshops, conducting follow-up visits, assessing student learning outcomes, and ensuring the effective utilization of STEM resources. The coordinator will also champion gender equity in STEM by actively encouraging girl students to participate in science and technology projects. A strong commitment to sustainable practices and community engagement is essential.
In terms of the Life Skills initiative, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for conducting various trainings, such as career guidance, life skills, and vocational skills, to build career readiness, life competencies, and vocational capabilities among adolescent girls. As the Kanya Sampoorna Project Phase III will collaborate with the system to ensure long-term sustainability, the coordinator will ensure the delivery of government initiatives such as Naan Mudhalvan, Emotional Well-being & Life Skills, and others, working alongside the teachers assigned to each program.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Capacity Building & Training:
· Organize and conduct training programs for middle school Mathematics and Science teachers at CRC (Cluster Resource Centre) and BRC (Block Resource Centre) levels.
· Build capacity and orient teachers on 21st-century skills like Coding and Robotics.
· Conduct demonstration classes for Science, ensuring at least three experiments are covered to effectively teach concepts.
· Collaboration with School education department in the trainings for teachers on Naan Mudhalvan, Life Skills and other special programs.
· Organizing Higher Education Exhibitions at schools with the cooperation of the assigned teachers for Career Guidance under Naan Mudhalvan Initiative.
2. Follow-up & Monitoring:
· Conduct regular school visits post-training to ensure implementation of learning outcomes.
· Identify gaps in teaching and provide necessary interventions to bridge those gaps.
· Ensure maximum utilization of Math and Science kits in classrooms by motivating teachers.
· Working with school headmaster and teachers to ensure the session delivery as per the plan given by the school education department.
3. Learning Outcome Assessment:
· Assess student learning outcomes periodically and share reports with teachers.
· Support teachers in identifying groups needing reteaching or brushing up of concepts.
4. STEM Promotion & Gender Inclusion:
· Encourage girl students to participate in Science, Coding, and Robotics projects.
· Organize school wise competitions and exhibitions to showcase their innovations.
· Sensitizing girls to increase their STEM aspirations will help dismantle gender stereotypes in higher education.
5. Block level Events:
· Organize and conduct block-level community science events to display student projects and innovations.
· Mobilize local communities to participate in and support these events.
6. Data Management & Documentation:
· Collect, maintain, and document complete school information, including student and teacher details, session logs, and visit reports.
· Update the Management Information System (MIS) on a daily basis to ensure data-driven decision-making.
7. Sustainability Focus:
· Ensure that capacity-building efforts lead to long-term improvements in teaching quality and student learning.
· Develop local teacher leaders who can sustain STEM activities independently
· Promote self-sufficiency in resource utilization, minimizing the need for continuous external support.
· Ensure the capability of teachers assigned to Naan Mudhalvan, Life Skills, and Vocational Skills to deliver sessions following government guidelines for each activity.
Other responsibilities assigned by the Kalike team to ensure the overall well-being of adolescent girls and to achieve the organization’s vision.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
