Role Summary
The AC Technician will be responsible for installation, servicing, repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of air conditioning systems at customer locations. The role requires strong technical knowledge, field execution capability, and professional customer handling skills. The candidate should be capable of independently handling AC service operations, identifying technical issues, and ensuring quality service delivery as per company standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. AC Installation Responsibilities
· Install Split AC, Window AC, Tower AC, Ductable AC, and other HVAC systems.
· Perform copper piping, drainage setup, insulation, and electrical wiring work.
· Install indoor and outdoor units properly as per technical standards.
· Ensure proper testing and commissioning after installation.
· Check cooling performance and system functionality after installation completion.
· Handle dismantling and reinstallation work when required.
· Ensure proper alignment, finishing, and cleanliness during installation activities.
2. AC Servicing & Preventive Maintenance
· Perform regular AC servicing and preventive maintenance activities.
· Conduct filter cleaning, blower cleaning, condenser cleaning, and water washing.
· Check cooling efficiency and overall system performance.
· Perform gas pressure checking and gas charging activities.
· Identify leakage and resolve cooling-related issues.
· Ensure proper preventive maintenance for residential and industrial customers.
· Maintain service quality standards during all maintenance activities.
3. Troubleshooting & Repair Work
· Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to AC systems.
· Handle compressor issues, PCB problems, capacitor replacement, wiring faults, and drainage issues.
· Identify electrical and cooling system faults using testing equipment.
· Repair and replace damaged AC components when required.
· Attend breakdown calls and emergency service requirements.
· Provide practical technical solutions during service operations.
· Minimize repeat complaints through proper troubleshooting.
4. Customer Coordination Responsibilities
· Coordinate with customers regarding service schedules and updates.
· Explain technical issues and service solutions professionally.
· Maintain positive customer relationships during field visits.
· Handle customer complaints and service concerns properly.
· Ensure customer satisfaction after work completion.
· Maintain professional behaviour and communication at customer locations.
5. Site & Field Operations
· Visit customer locations for installation and service work.
· Ensure timely completion of assigned service jobs.
· Coordinate with supervisors and service teams for smooth field operations.
· Maintain proper site cleanliness after completion of work.
· Ensure proper handling of company tools and equipment.
· Support emergency service calls and urgent technical requirements.
6. Safety & Compliance Responsibilities
· Follow company safety rules and operational procedures.
· Ensure safe handling of electrical systems and AC equipment.
· Use safety tools and protective equipment properly.
· Follow ladder safety and site safety practices.
· Report technical risks or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
· Maintain safe and professional work practices during field operations.
Required Skills & Competencies
· Strong technical knowledge of AC and HVAC systems
· Installation and troubleshooting capability
· Knowledge of gas charging and leakage testing
· Basic electrical troubleshooting skills

· Qualification & Experience
ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical, or Mechanical field
· HVAC certification will be an added advantage
· Experience in residential and industrial HVAC systems preferred
· Fresher’s with strong technical knowledge may also apply
Salary: 15 to 20 K per month
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
