Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Technology Engineer to join the Pricing Technology team supporting Supply, Trading, and Shipping business functions. This role requires a hands-on engineer with expertise across application development, cloud-native platforms, database engineering, observability, and production support.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, OpenShift on AWS, PostgreSQL, Python, Dataiku, Splunk, and Grafana, along with the ability to lead technical discussions, collaborate with business stakeholders, and drive solution delivery in an Agile environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesApplication Development & Enhancement
- Develop and enhance enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Python.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices and APIs.
- Deliver new features and enhancements aligned with business priorities.
Production Support & Operations
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for business-critical applications.
- Ensure high availability, performance, reliability, and operational stability.
- Support deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of cloud-native applications.
Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications on OpenShift running on AWS.
- Implement cloud-native best practices for performance, security, and scalability.
- Support platform modernization and automation initiatives.
Database Engineering
- Design, manage, and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
- Perform performance tuning, data modeling, and database maintenance.
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and security.
Monitoring & Observability
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Splunk and Grafana.
- Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and operational risks.
CI/CD & Automation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery.
- Automate operational and deployment processes using modern DevOps practices.
Stakeholder & Solution Leadership
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements.
- Lead technical discussions and solution workshops.
- Collaborate with architecture teams to evaluate options and define target solutions.
- Present recommendations, trade-offs, and implementation approaches to business and technical teams.
Agile Delivery
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Deliver high-quality solutions aligned with sprint objectives and business goals.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or enterprise technology roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot development.
- Experience deploying and supporting applications in OpenShift and AWS environments.
- Proven expertise in PostgreSQL database management and optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD implementation and deployment automation.
- Strong production support and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Dataiku platforms and analytics workflows.
- Knowledge of commodity trading, valuation, risk, supply, or shipping domains.
- Experience leading solution design workshops and technical discussions.
- Strong understanding of ITIL, DevOps, and cloud-native best practices.
- Experience mentoring engineers and supporting technical growth within teams.
