Full job description

Core Responsibilities

Maintain and improve the QMS in line with API Q1, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards.
Handle API audits, customer audits, surveillance audits, and compliance documentation.
Conduct internal audits and ensure effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor departmental objectives, quality objectives, and KPI performance.
Conduct Management Review Meetings (MRM), prepare MIS reports, and follow up on action items.
Liaise with certification bodies, customers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
Ensure process compliance, document control, and effective implementation of QMS procedures.
Support training and awareness programs related to quality systems and compliance requirements.
Manage customer quality requirements, complaints, and resolution activities.
Support supplier quality assessments, vendor evaluations, and supplier qualification processes.
Maintain quality records, audit documentation, manuals, procedures, and related reports.
Identify improvement opportunities and drive continual improvement initiatives across operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Oil & Gas environments.
Experience with API Q1 standards and QMS implementation.
Internal Auditor Certification preferred.
Strong understanding of quality systems, audit processes, and compliance documentation.
Familiarity with QMS procedures, manual formats, and audit documentation requirements.
Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report preparation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Exposure to API 5B, API 7-1, API 7-2, or premium threading standards.
Experience in supplier quality management and vendor qualification processes.
Knowledge of manufacturing quality tools and continual improvement methodologies.
Experience in handling customer audits and certification audits independently.

Experience: 5–7 years minimum

Educational Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience in Manufacturing/Engineering / API Q1 Std. / Oil & Gas environment with internal auditor certification. Familiarity with QMS procedures, QMS implementation, manual formats and audit documentation.

Exposure to API Q1, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and other relevant standards

Management Representative, Quality Assurance specialist

Maintain and improve the QMS in line with API Q1 / ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.

Experience in handling API audits, customer audits and compliance documentation.

Ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.

Monitor departmental objectives, quality objectives and KPI performance.

Conduct management review meetings and prepare MIS reports, and follow up on action items

Liaise with certification bodies, customers, and regulatory agencies.

Lead internal audit programs, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions to enhance operational effectiveness.

Ensure process compliance and documentation control.

Support training and awareness programs related to quality systems.

Manage customer quality requirements and complaints.

Support remote and on-site supplier quality assessments, vendor evaluations, and supplier qualification processes.

Knowledge of API 5B, API 7-1, and API 7-2 or any premium threading standards will be considered an advantage
