Employment Type
Full-time
Location
Pune, Maharashtra, India
Stack
Modern JavaScript/TypeScript front end with a REST or GraphQL backend
About the Role
Blessing Softtech is looking for a Web Application Developer to build, ship, and maintain production web applications. You will own features end to end — from understanding the requirement through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-release support — working alongside designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders.
We care more about depth than a specific framework: strong candidates from React, Angular, Vue, or full-stack backgrounds are all welcome. What matters is that you have shipped real applications, understand how the web actually works underneath the framework, and write code others can maintain.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Delivery
- Build responsive, cross-browser web applications from requirement through to production release.
- Translate UI/UX designs into accurate, accessible, component-based interfaces.
- Design and consume REST or GraphQL APIs, handling authentication, pagination, validation, and error states.
- Implement server-side logic, business rules, and database queries where the role extends into the backend.
- Integrate third-party services — payment gateways, email and SMS providers, analytics, authentication, and cloud storage.
Code Quality & Architecture
- Write clean, modular, well-documented code with clear separation between UI, state, and business logic.
- Apply sound state management and component design so the codebase scales as features grow.
- Write unit and integration tests, and take part in code reviews.
- Design efficient database schemas and queries; identify and fix N+1 queries and slow endpoints.
Performance, Security & Operations
- Optimise page load and runtime performance — bundle size, lazy loading, caching, and Core Web Vitals.
- Apply web security fundamentals: input validation, XSS and CSRF protection, SQL injection prevention, secure session and token handling.
- Support deployments and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and environment configuration.
- Monitor errors and production issues, diagnose root causes, and turn around fixes quickly.
Collaboration
- Work with designers to confirm feasibility early and raise edge cases before build.
- Align with backend and mobile teams on shared API contracts and versioning.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Document technical decisions, setup steps, and known constraints for the team.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of professional experience building and maintaining production web applications.
- Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript, plus modern HTML5 and CSS3.
- Proficiency in at least one modern front-end framework — React, Angular, Vue, or Next.js.
- Working backend experience in at least one of: Node.js, .NET, Java, Python, or PHP.
- Solid understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB) including schema design and query optimisation.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
- Understanding of authentication and authorisation patterns — JWT, OAuth 2.0, session management, and role-based access.
- Proficiency with Git and branching workflows.
- Practical knowledge of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and debugging with browser developer tools.
- Awareness of the OWASP Top 10 and how to defend against common web vulnerabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred / Good to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms — AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerised deployments.
- Exposure to CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps).
- Server-side rendering, static generation, or progressive web app experience.
- Experience with caching layers (Redis) and message queues.
- Testing frameworks such as Jest, Vitest, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and internationalisation.
- Experience with microservices or serverless architectures.
- Agile/Scrum experience with tools like Jira and Confluence.
- An active GitHub profile or live projects you can walk us through.
