Job Description – Technical Support Engineer

Position: Technical Support Engineer
Location: Noida / Delhi NCR
Employment Type: Full-Time

Department: Technical Support / IT Infrastructure

About the Role

Giri Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, biometric attendance systems, access control systems, and related solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to clients through phone, remote access, and onsite visits.
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Biometric Attendance & Access Control Systems.
Must have practical knowledge of biometric software, attendance management software, user management, device configuration, and database-related issues.
Configure biometric devices with servers, computers, LAN/WAN networks, and attendance software.
Troubleshoot issues related to attendance synchronization, employee data, punch records, device connectivity, reports, and software configuration.
Handle installation and configuration of fingerprint, face recognition, RFID, and other biometric devices.
Troubleshoot TCP/IP, LAN, IP addressing, ports, ping, network connectivity, and device-server communication.
Provide support for access control systems, door controllers, EM locks, exit buttons, RFID readers, and related equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance at customer sites.
Diagnose hardware and software problems and provide appropriate solutions.
Coordinate with vendors/OEM technical teams for complex technical issues.
Maintain service reports, installation reports, troubleshooting records, and customer feedback.
Provide technical guidance and basic training to customers/users.
Travel to customer locations within Delhi NCR and other locations when required.
Maintain proper documentation of installed systems and configurations.

Required Technical Skills

Mandatory:

Good knowledge of Biometric Attendance & Access Control Systems.
Hands-on experience with biometric attendance software/services.
Knowledge of biometric device configuration and attendance data synchronization.
Basic knowledge of SQL/database troubleshooting will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, IP addressing, networking, and Windows OS.
Knowledge of access control hardware and door locking systems.
Basic knowledge of CCTV and security surveillance systems is preferred.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Experience with brands such as Matrix, eSSL, ZKTeco, Hikvision, CP Plus, Suprema, or similar biometric/access control systems will be an added advantage.

Candidate Profile

Diploma/B.Tech/BCA/ITI in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related field.
2–3 years of experience in technical support, field support, biometric systems, access control, or IT infrastructure.
Strong communication and customer-handling skills.
Willingness to travel to client locations.
Ability to work independently and resolve technical issues within defined timelines.
Valid driving licence would be an advantage.

Key Performance Areas (KPI)

Timely resolution of customer technical issues.
Successful installation and commissioning of biometric/access control systems.
Customer satisfaction and service quality.
Preventive maintenance and minimum system downtime.
Proper service documentation and reporting.

Salary

₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and technical skills.

Immediate joiners with relevant biometric/access control experience will be preferred.

Pay: From ₹300,000.00 per year
