Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and creative WordPress Website Developer to join our team. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites that meet our clients' needs and requirements. You will work closely with our clients and the design team to bring their visions to life through custom WordPress themes and plugins.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Website Development: Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress websites, ensuring they are responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing.

2. Theme and Plugin Customization: Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins or create new ones to meet specific project requirements.

3. Content Management: Manage and update website content, including text, images, and multimedia elements.

4. Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve website performance, ensuring fast loading times and optimal user experience.

5. Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Implement SEO best practices to improve website rankings and visibility on search engines.

6. Security: Ensure website security by implementing best security practices, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and staying updated on the latest security threats.

7. Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve bugs, compatibility issues, and other technical problems.

8. Collaboration: Work closely with designers, content creators, and other team members to align on project objectives and timelines.

9. Client Communication: Communicate with clients to gather requirements, provide project updates, and offer technical support when necessary.

10. Training: Train clients or team members on how to use and update their WordPress websites effectively.

11. Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, WordPress updates, and best practices to continuously improve your skills and the projects you work on.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with a portfolio of completed WordPress projects.

- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.

- Familiarity with MySQL and database management.

- Strong understanding of responsive web design principles.

- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG).

- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Basic understanding of SEO best practices.

- Knowledge of website security best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, Beaver Builder).

- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and plugins (e.g., WooCommerce).

- Previous experience with website performance optimization.

- Experience in creating and customizing WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.

- Understanding of mobile app development (iOS/Android).

- Familiarity with design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).

Education:

A degree in computer science, web development, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory. Relevant work experience and a strong portfolio are equally important.
