Position: Service General Manager
Location: Ongole, Andhra Pradesh
Department: After Sales / Service Operations
Reporting To: Managing Director / Dealer Principal
Job Summary
The Service General Manager is responsible for the overall management and performance of the
Passenger Car Service Division. The role involves driving service revenue, customer satisfaction,
workshop efficiency, manpower productivity, and profitability while ensuring compliance with OEM
standards and dealership policies.
Key Responsibilities
Service Operations Management
Oversee daily workshop operations and ensure smooth functioning of all service activities.
Monitor vehicle inflow, service delivery, and workshop loading to maximize productivity.
Ensure timely completion and delivery of vehicles as per committed timelines.
Implement and maintain OEM service processes and quality standards.
Business Development & Revenue Growth
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual service revenue targets.
Drive growth in labor sales, spare parts sales, accessories, and value-added services.
Develop and implement strategies to improve workshop profitability.
Monitor key business metrics and initiate corrective actions when required.
Customer Satisfaction
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Address customer grievances and escalations promptly and effectively.
Monitor customer feedback, CSI scores, and implement improvement plans.
Maintain strong customer relationships and promote service retention programs.
Manpower Gaps In Ongole Location
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and manage Service Managers, Floor In-Charges, Service Advisors, Technicians, and Support Staff.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and guidance.
Identify training needs and ensure skill development of service personnel.
Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Workshop Productivity & Quality Control
Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and workshop utilization.
Ensure adherence to quality control processes and final inspection standards.
Reduce repeat repairs and improve first-time fix rates.
Maintain workshop discipline, safety, and housekeeping standards.
Financial Management
Prepare and manage service department budgets.
Monitor expenses and control operational costs.
Analyze financial reports, profitability statements, and business performance indicators.
Ensure effective inventory management in coordination with the Parts Department.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with OEM policies, dealership standards, and statutory regulations.
Submit periodic operational and performance reports to management.
Participate in OEM audits and ensure successful compliance.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Business Administration, or
related field.
MBA will be an added advantage.
Experience
10–15 years of experience in Automobile After-Sales Operations.
Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role managing passenger car service operations.
Experience with authorized dealership networks is preferred.

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Ongole, Andhra Pradesh.
Pay: ₹22,321.83 - ₹98,375.79 per month
