Role Overview
We are looking for a curious, data-driven SEO Intern to join our Organic Growth team. In this role, you will support end-to-end SEO execution across multiple client accounts — from on-page optimization and keyword research to content briefs, technical audits, and reporting. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how search engines actually work in a fast-moving agency environment and to contribute to campaigns that drive real organic traffic and revenue for our clients. This internship is ideal for someone who is genuinely fascinated by how content ranks, why some pages win and others don't, and how AI-driven search is reshaping the discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Keyword Research & Strategy
- Conduct keyword research using tools such as Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Ubersuggest, and Google Search Console.
- Identify high-intent, low-competition opportunities, long-tail variations, and topical clusters relevant to client industries.
- Map keywords to existing site pages and flag gaps that require new content.
On-Page SEO
- Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, H1–H3 headings, URL structures, image alt text, and internal links across client websites.
- Write SEO-led content briefs for the content team covering target keywords, intent, structure, and competitor benchmarks.
- Implement and QA on-page changes via CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify.
Off-Page SEO & Link Building
- Research backlink opportunities, prospect relevant domains, and support outreach campaigns.
- Monitor backlink health, disavow toxic links where required, and track competitor backlink movements.
Content &; AI Search Optimization
- Support content optimization for both traditional search (Google) and AI-driven surfaces (AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini).
- Help structure content with clear entities, FAQs, and schema to improve eligibility for rich results and AI citations.
Reporting &; Analysis
- Pull weekly and monthly performance data from Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and rank-tracking tools.
- Build clean, client-ready reports highlighting ranking movements, traffic trends, conversions, and key actions taken.
- Translate data into clear insights what worked, what didn't, and what to do next.
Technical SEO Support
- Assist in technical audits using Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, GSC, and PageSpeed Insights.
- Help identify and document issues related to crawlability, indexation, site speed, Core Web
- Vitals, broken links, redirects, canonicals, and structured data.
- Coordinate with developers to track and verify fixes.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's / Master's degree in Marketing, Communications,
Business, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of how search engines work — crawling, indexing, ranking, and the role of
content and links.
- Working familiarity with at least one SEO tool (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Ubersuggest, or similar)
and Google Search Console / Google Analytics.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets — VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic data cleanup.
- Excellent written English and the ability to structure information clearly.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deliverables across clients.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
