Job Title: SEO Executive Company: GoFutureNet Digital Location: Park Street Kolkata, West Bengal (On-site/In-office) Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Required: Minimum 1-3 years

About GoFutureNet Digital

GoFutureNet Digital is a Kolkata-based digital marketing and creative agency working across SEO/AEO strategy, performance marketing, social media management, and premium brand communication for clients spanning hospitality, legal tech, fashion, FMCG, healthcare, and safety tech. We're looking for a hands-on SEO Executive to drive on-site and off-site optimization, along with emerging AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) execution, across a diverse client portfolio.

Role Overview

The SEO Executive will be responsible for planning and executing SEO strategies for multiple client accounts — improving organic search visibility, driving qualified traffic, and increasingly, optimizing content for citation by AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews). This is an execution-focused role reporting into the SEO Manager, requiring strong technical grounding and daily hands-on work across audits, content, and link building.

Key Responsibilities

Keyword & Market Research

Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to identify ranking opportunities across client verticals
Map keyword clusters to content and page structures, including intent-based and long-tail targeting
Track industry trends, algorithm updates, and competitor strategies to keep client SEO plans current

On-Page SEO

Optimize meta titles, meta descriptions, header tags, URL structures, and internal linking
Conduct on-page content optimization in coordination with content writers/copywriters
Implement schema markup and structured data to improve SERP visibility (rich snippets, FAQs, etc.)
Optimize images, page speed, and Core Web Vitals in coordination with the dev team
Ensure mobile-friendliness and responsive optimization across client sites

Technical SEO

Perform technical SEO audits (crawl errors, indexing issues, duplicate content, broken links, redirects, canonicalization, XML sitemaps, robots.txt)
Monitor and resolve crawlability and indexability issues using Google Search Console and similar tools
Work with developers to implement technical fixes and site architecture improvements
Monitor site health metrics and flag issues proactively

Off-Page SEO & Link Building

Execute link-building campaigns: guest posting, outreach, directory submissions, PR-driven backlinks
Identify and vet high-authority, relevant link opportunities; avoid spammy/toxic link sources
Build and maintain relationships with bloggers, publishers, and partner sites for backlink acquisition
Monitor backlink profiles and disavow harmful links when necessary

Local SEO

Manage and optimize Google Business Profile listings for local/multi-location clients
Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) consistency across directories and citation sources
Drive local citation building and manage local review/rating strategies

AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)

Optimize content structure and formatting so it can be surfaced and cited by AI-driven answer engines
Support the SEO Manager in building AEO-specific content frameworks (structured Q&A formats, concise definitional content, authoritative sourcing)
Stay current on how generative AI search tools source and cite content, and adapt execution accordingly

Content Collaboration

Brief and coordinate with content writers on SEO-optimized blogs, landing pages, and website copy
Ensure all content aligns with keyword strategy, search intent, and on-page best practices
Support content calendar planning for organic growth

Analytics, Reporting & Tools

Track and report on keyword rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and other KPIs using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar tools
Prepare regular performance reports and dashboards for internal review and client presentations
Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for continuous optimization

Client & Team Coordination

Execute SEO strategies and blueprints defined by the SEO Manager across assigned client accounts
Coordinate with the design, content, and performance marketing teams for integrated campaigns
Participate in client calls/reporting as needed to explain SEO progress and recommendations

Requirements

Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on SEO experience (agency experience preferred)
Strong working knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO
Proficiency with SEO tools: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush/Ahrefs/Moz, Screaming Frog (or similar)
Understanding of HTML/CSS basics as they relate to SEO implementation
Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress and similar)
Working knowledge of AEO/AI search optimization concepts, or strong willingness to learn
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategy
Strong written communication skills for content briefs, reports, and client-facing documentation
Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously and meet deadlines
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field preferred

Good to Have

Experience with local SEO / Google Business Profile management
Basic understanding of performance marketing/Google Ads (for integrated campaign context)
Prior experience working across multiple industry verticals (hospitality, FMCG, healthcare, etc.)
Google Analytics/SEO certifications

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
