Assistant Restaurant Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in managing daily restaurant operations. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership, communication, customer service, team-management, and operational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Restaurant Manager in managing day-to-day restaurant operations.

Supervise and motivate restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.

Manage opening and closing procedures of the restaurant.

Ensure high standards of food quality, service, hygiene, and cleanliness.

Handle customer queries, feedback, and complaints professionally.

Monitor staff attendance, grooming, discipline, and performance.

Prepare staff duty rosters and allocate responsibilities as required.

Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for smooth order execution.

Monitor inventory, stock levels, wastage, and product availability.

Assist with ordering and receiving food, beverage, and operational supplies.

Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and restaurant SOPs.

Monitor billing, cash handling, POS transactions, and daily sales reports.

Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving sales and profitability targets.

Conduct staff briefings and provide on-the-job training.

Maintain proper records and reports related to operations.

Assist in controlling operational costs and minimizing wastage.

Ensure restaurant equipment and facilities are properly maintained.

Support promotional activities and initiatives to increase sales.

Take charge of restaurant operations in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.

Required Skills

Strong leadership and team-management skills.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Good knowledge of restaurant operations.

Ability to handle customer complaints and operational issues.

Good knowledge of POS and billing systems.

Basic knowledge of inventory and cost control.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Professional grooming and positive attitude.

Qualification & Experience

Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.

2–5 years of experience in restaurant/hospitality operations.

Previous experience as a Senior Captain, Supervisor, Team Leader, or Assistant Restaurant Manager is preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
