JOB DESCRIPTION
The International Consumer Banking (ICB) Finance & Business Management (F&BM) function operates within a modern, dynamic finance organization supporting a rapidly evolving and high-growth business. The team partners closely with global stakeholders, primarily across London and Luxembourg, within a collaborative and flat organizational structure.
As a Senior Associate – External Reporting Controller in the International Consumer Banking (ICB) Finance & Business Management (F&BM) function, you will support the delivery of accurate, timely, and controlled external regulatory reporting for retail banking products, including deposits and credit cards.
F&BM spans key finance disciplines including Planning & Analysis (P&A), Product & Financial Control, Business Management, and Line-of-Business-aligned Treasury activities, delivering high-quality financial insights and regulatory reporting.
Job Responsibilities

Support external regulatory reporting by applying product, industry, and market knowledge to financial data and disclosures.

Consolidate, review, and analyze quarterly financial results, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and robust variance analysis within reporting timelines.

Coordinate data and reporting activities across Lines of Business, Regulatory Controllers, and SEC Reporting teams.

Perform issue identification and structured analysis, documenting outcomes, implications, and required remediation actions.

Communicate financial results and insights clearly to stakeholders; proactively escalate risks, issues, and control gaps.
Execute control and proofing procedures to ensure consistency and reconciliation across regulatory and SEC filings, including:
Form 10-Q, Form 10-K / Annual Report, Call Report / FR Y‑9C,
FFIEC 009 and
FR 2510 (Pillar III)

Ensure compliance with edit checks, control standards, and internal governance requirements.

Support timely and accurate submission of regulatory data to meet external reporting deadlines and quality expectations.

Interpret and apply regulatory and SEC reporting requirements, aligning with internal policies and frameworks.

Build and maintain strong partnerships across Lines of Business, Corporate Functions, and regulatory stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing data quality, strengthening controls, and improving reporting processes.

Support internal and external audits and manage multiple deliverables under tight timelines. and contribute to firmwide initiatives related to regulatory reporting changes, process optimization, and tool enhancements.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- 5+ years of experience in External Reporting, Product Control, or Financial Control within a financial services organization

Prior experience working as a Chartered accountant.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Proven ability to collaborate and influence across functions, regions, and senior stakeholders.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a focus on improving efficiency and automation.

High attention to detail with a strong control mindset and commitment to data quality and accuracy.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

Knowledge of US regulatory reporting frameworks and SEC filing requirements.

Experience supporting retail banking products such as deposits and credit cards.

Exposure to global finance environments and matrixed organizational structures.
