IWM IT team focuses on providing IT solution for various Business functions within IWM such as Lending and Credit Solutions (LCS), Investment Products and Advisory Solutions (IPAS), Front Office and Operations
Position Specifications:
Job Role & Responsibilities:
The selected person would be a part of IWM IT BU focusing on focusing on building a Data platform for the IWM business. The roles and responsibilities are as follows:
- Build a Data Platform that acts as a store for both Structured and Unstructured data in IWM
- Understand the scope of the Data platform and build an efficient way to ingest data that avoids redundancy.
- Integrate with a Data Virtualization layer such as Denodo or Dremio to provide client access to Data Catalogue, Ability to create views/ join relevant data, expose the data to Power BI dashboard.
- Write APIs to provide consumers / Applications access to data on demand.
- Build stream set to support Real time data needs.
- Build UI to track the status of data load, SLA breaches, availability of data for critical processes, source of data etc.
- Adhere to the best coding practices that reduce technical debt.
- Support resolution of production and user issues, application testing and maintenance releases.
- Partner with stakeholders for testing and implementation of the deliverables.
- Provide regular updates regarding status or progress made to managers and stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Job Requirements/Experience:
- University bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems or banking.
- 2+ years of relevant working experience in Java, Spring Boot
- Familiarity with one of the Data Technologies – MS SQL, Mongo DB, Snowflake, MinIO etc.
- Good understanding of Data Governance Principles.
- Has implementation experience in medium to large scale projects.
- Can work autonomously within a collaborative team environment.
- Able to work and organize with sense of urgency under multiple deadlines.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize under stress.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to learn and able to adapt to different technologies.
- Communicates well & across all levels.
- Basic awareness of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Familiarity with REST API design and tools such as Postman or Swagger/OpenAPI
- Proficiency with Git (branching, PRs, code reviews).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology; experience using JIRA for sprint planning, backlog management, and task tracking.
