Job Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for scheduling and coordinating production activities to ensure timely delivery of products. This role works closely with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to align production plans with demand forecasts and resource availability.

Immediate Opening: Deputy Manager ( ASM II)- Planning (Pumps & Rotating Equipment) -
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Deputy Manager ( ASM II) - Planning to lead Production Planning, Demand Forecasting, Material Planning, Inventory Management, and Customer Delivery Planning for our Pump Manufacturing business. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in SAP PP, production scheduling, MRP, inventory control, and cross-functional coordination to ensure achievement of sales plans and customer delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Lead monthly S&OP process and align demand with manufacturing capacity.
- Create and own Annual, Quarterly, Monthly, and Weekly Sales & Production Plans.
- Drive demand forecasting and forecast accuracy improvements.
- Convert sales forecasts into executable manufacturing plans.
Work closely with Sales and Project Management teams to ensure fulfillment of customer commitments.

Production & Assembly Planning
- Develop and manage Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Ensure achievement of production plans and customer delivery commitments.
- Drive schedule adherence across machining, assembly, testing, and dispatch functions.
- Monitor capacity utilization and identify bottlenecks.
Pump Assembly Kit Management
- Lead daily and weekly reviews between Stores and Assembly teams.
- Ensure complete kit readiness before assembly starts.
- Drive closure of shortages affecting assembly schedules.
- Monitor critical material availability to support uninterrupted production.
Procurement & Material Planning
- Conduct regular planning reviews with Procurement teams.
- Align purchase schedules with sales forecasts and assembly requirements.
- Drive timely availability of long lead and critical materials.
- Proactively manage supply chain risks and escalations.
Project Planning & Customer Deliveries
- Lead project kick-off meetings for new customer orders.
- Define and monitor key milestones from Engineering Release through Invoicing.
- Work closely with Project Managers to ensure customer commitments are achieved.
- Support customer reviews by providing reliable execution and delivery forecasts.
Cross Functional Leadership
- Lead Tier-2 Operations Meetings and drive action closure.
- Coordinate with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Stores, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and Finance teams.
- Drive organization-wide alignment towards achievement of business sales plans.
Inventory & MRP Management
- Own inventory planning and inventory control activities.
- Execute and monitor Daily MRP Runs in SAP.
- Review and close MRP exception messages on a daily basis.
- Ensure planning master data accuracy within SAP.
- Responsible for Packing Slip Creation in SAP to support dispatch and delivery activities.
- Drive material availability while optimizing inventory levels and working capital.
Monitor Raw Material, WIP, and Finished Goods inventory performance.

- Expertise in Production Planning & Control (PPC)
- Strong experience in Pump Manufacturing / Engineered-to-Order (ETO) Environment
- Advanced Demand Forecasting & Capacity Planning
- Excellent knowledge of SAP PP Module (Mandatory)
- Working knowledge of SAP MM & SAP SD Modules (Mandatory)
- Strong understanding of Manufacturing, Assembly, Procurement & Inventory Management
- Advanced Excel Skills including:
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Ability to lead Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and drive execution through influence

Qualification
DME / BE / B.Tech Mechanical, Production Engineering
Experience above 15 Years.
