About the role
Help build challenging research questions that evaluate AI browsing agents. You will start with a verifiable fact, work backwards to create a difficult research question, and provide a complete evidence trail supporting the answer. This role focuses on investigative web research and evidence verification.
Engagement
- Remote contractor assignment for 8 weeks.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, including at least 4 hours of overlap with PST.
- No medical benefits or paid leave.
Location
Open to candidates in Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Turkey, Vietnam, and the USA.
Compensation
The INR 945/hour displayed by Indeed is only an approximate equivalent for non-US contributors, based on typical task duration and currency conversion. Actual payment is in USD per approved task as follows.
- Non-US contributors: USD $30 per approved task.
- US contributors: USD $60 per approved task.
- Average handling time is approximately 3 hours per task, equivalent to approximately $10/hour for non-US contributors and $20/hour for US contributors. Payment is per approved task, not a guaranteed hourly rate.
Responsibilities
- Start from a verifiable fact and work backwards to construct a challenging natural-language research question.
- Produce questions with short, stable, objectively verifiable answers.
- Develop independently checkable clues spanning dates, people, places, organizations, works, events, records, quantities, and other fact types.
- Locate and evaluate reliable open-web sources, including primary records where appropriate.
- Cite exact pages, tables, sections, and records so each claim can be independently verified.
- Maintain a complete validation record of searches performed and results returned.
- Deliver a clear, auditable evidence trail in the required structured format.
- Revise submissions based on quality-review feedback.
Your profile
- A Master’s degree OR at least 3 years of professional experience is the primary eligibility requirement.
- Investigative open-web research and evidence-verification skills.
- Ability to document sources and research steps clearly and accurately.
- Availability for the full-time, 8-week engagement and required PST overlap.
- Other relevant experience is helpful and will be assessed holistically.
