Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Head
Salary :- 35,000 to 40, 000 per month
Key Job Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution
- Assist in planning and executing daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules as per business requirements.
- Ensure smooth production operations to achieve production targets within the defined timelines.
- Monitor production processes and maintain optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and raw materials.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager for effective production planning and workflow management.
2. Process Monitoring & Operational Control
- Supervise manufacturing processes and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor batch processing, chemical reactions, mixing, blending, formulation, and packaging activities.
- Ensure proper parameter control such as temperature, pressure, mixing ratio, and process timing.
- Identify process deviations and take corrective actions immediately.
3. Team Supervision & Workforce Management
- Supervise operators, technicians, and production staff on the shop floor.
- Allocate manpower according to shift schedules and production priorities.
- Monitor employee attendance, discipline, and productivity within the department.
- Guide and train workers on safe work practices and process handling.
4. Quality Control Coordination
- Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to ensure product quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure production batches meet quality specifications before dispatch or packaging.
- Investigate quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Reduce rejection, wastage, and rework during manufacturing processes.
5. Safety & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and chemical handling procedures.
- Monitor usage of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all production employees.
- Ensure safe storage, transfer, and handling of hazardous chemicals and raw materials.
- Support implementation of EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) policies within the production area.
6. Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate with maintenance department for preventive and breakdown maintenance of production equipment.
- Ensure machines, reactors, pumps, mixers, and utilities are functioning efficiently.
- Minimize production downtime by timely reporting and resolving equipment issues.
- Assist in planning maintenance schedules to avoid production disruption.
7. Inventory & Material Management
- Monitor availability of raw materials, packing materials, and production consumables.
- Coordinate with stores and purchase department for uninterrupted material supply.
- Ensure proper material consumption tracking and minimize wastage.
- Maintain production stock records and batch consumption details.
8. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily production reports, shift reports, and batch manufacturing records.
- Prepare MIS reports related to production efficiency, downtime, wastage, and productivity.
- Maintain compliance records as per company and statutory requirements.
- Report operational issues and production status to senior management.
9. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Support implementation of lean manufacturing practices and process optimization.
- Improve production efficiency and reduce material losses.
- Participate in improvement projects for plant productivity enhancement.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes

- Problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of ERP, MS Excel, production reporting, and documentation
Preferred Candidate Profile
- B.Tech / Diploma in Chemical Engineering,/ Mechanical Chemistry, or related field
- 5–10 years of experience in Chemical Manufacturing Industry
- Experience in handling plant operations and production teams
- Good understanding of quality systems, safety regulations, and process controls
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
