About the Role
We are looking for a creative, energetic and social-media-savvy intern to join our marketing team and help build the online presence of Buildhood.
This is not a traditional desk job where you simply schedule posts. You will be involved in content ideas, Instagram Reels, videos, social media campaigns, trends, shoots and day-to-day social media management.
If you spend a lot of time on Instagram and YouTube, understand what makes people stop scrolling, and enjoy creating content, this could be a great opportunity to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media Management
- Manage Buildhood' Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other relevant social media platforms.
- Plan and maintain a regular content calendar.
- Publish posts, Reels, Stories and other content.
- Monitor comments, messages and audience interactions.
- Keep track of trending content, sounds, formats and social media trends.
2. Content Creation
- Generate creative content ideas for Home Construction, interiors, furniture, home décor and lifestyle.
- Develop ideas for Instagram Reels and short-form videos.
- Assist in writing captions, hooks and video scripts.
- Coordinate with the design, sales and execution teams to collect content from projects.
- Visit project sites or shoots when required to capture content.
3. Reels & Video Content
- Identify opportunities to create engaging short-form videos.
- Assist with shooting and directing simple videos using a smartphone.
- Coordinate with video editors and designers.
- Understand basic video editing and suggest improvements to make content more engaging.
- Experiment with different content formats and measure what performs best.
4. Influencer & Collaboration Marketing
- Research relevant Instagram and YouTube creators.
- Build and maintain an influencer database.
- Identify creators in the interiors, architecture, home décor, luxury lifestyle and Bangalore markets.
- Reach out to influencers for collaborations.
- Coordinate with influencers during campaigns.
5. Analytics & Growth
- Track social media performance regularly.
- Monitor views, reach, engagement, followers and leads.
- Identify which content performs well and why.
- Suggest new content ideas based on performance.
- Help improve the company's social media presence and audience growth.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong interest in Instagram, YouTube and digital content.
- Good understanding of current social media trends.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate fresh content ideas.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Canva and/or other design tools is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of video editing is an advantage.
- Ability to write simple and engaging captions and scripts.
- Willingness to learn and experiment.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- A strong sense of aesthetics and interest in interiors, architecture, furniture and lifestyle content is a plus.
Who Can Apply?
- Students or recent graduates from Marketing, Digital Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Advertising, Design or related fields.
- Candidates with a genuine passion for social media are welcome even if they come from a different educational background.
- Previous social media experience or a personal Instagram/YouTube page is an advantage.
