Sales Manager — School Partnerships
Micron ERP | EdTech · School Management Software
Location: Punjab / Remote (All India)
Type: Full-Time
Salary: ₹30,000–50,000/month + Performance Incentives

About Micron ERP

Micron ERP is building school management software for private schools across Punjab and India — helping principals, teachers, and admins run their institutions digitally. We are an early-stage EdTech startup with a growing school network and an ambitious target to onboard hundreds of schools across India. You will work directly with the founding team to build and lead our school sales function.

About This Role

We are looking for a seasoned Sales Manager who has specifically sold to schools — someone who knows how principals think, how school management committees make decisions, and how to build trust with education decision-makers over time.

This is not a generic sales role. We need someone who has walked into a school, sat across a principal, understood their pain points, and closed a deal. If you've sold EdTech, school ERP, school management software, CCTV systems, furniture, books, stationery, or any product directly to schools — we want to talk to you.

You will own the entire sales function — managing the BD team, setting targets, building school relationships at a senior level, and driving revenue growth across Punjab and India.

What You Will Do

School Sales & Business Development

Own and drive school acquisition targets across assigned territories
Build and maintain relationships with school principals, directors, trustees, and management committees.

Conduct high-level meetings and demos with decision-makers at large school groups and chains

Negotiate and close deals with schools — individual schools as well as multi-school groups
Identify and develop new market opportunities across Punjab and other states

Team Leadership & Management

Lead, mentor, and manage the BD team — set daily targets, review performance, and coach on sales techniques
Build a structured sales process — from lead generation to closure — for the entire team to follow
Conduct weekly pipeline reviews with BD executives and report to the founding team
Hire and onboard new BD team members as the team scales
Motivate and energise the team to consistently hit monthly targets

Pipeline & CRM Management

Own the sales pipeline — ensure accurate and up-to-date CRM records across the team
Forecast monthly and quarterly revenue based on pipeline data
Identify bottlenecks in the sales funnel and implement solutions
Report weekly on team performance, pipeline health, and school acquisition numbers

Market Intelligence

Stay ahead of competitor activity — other school ERP and EdTech players in the market
Gather feedback from schools on product gaps and share with the product team
Identify high-potential school clusters, districts, and geographies for targeted outreach
Build relationships with school associations, education boards, and principal networks

Collaboration

Work closely with the Marketing team to align campaigns with sales priorities
Coordinate with the Implementation team to ensure smooth school onboarding post-sale
Act as the voice of the school in internal product discussions — what schools need, what they resist, what converts them

What We Offer

Fixed salary: ₹30,000–50,000/month based on experience

Requirements:

Must Have:

4–8 years of sales experience with at least 2–3 years specifically selling to schools
Proven track record of closing deals with school principals, directors, or management committees
Experience in EdTech, school ERP, school management software, school supplies, or any school-facing product
Strong pipeline management and CRM skills
Excellent communication in English, Hindi, and Punjabi
Comfortable with field visits — can travel across Punjab and occasionally other states
Own transport

Preferred:

Prior experience managing a BD or sales team
Existing network of school principals and education decision-makers in Punjab
Familiarity with CBSE, ICSE, and State Board school ecosystems
Experience selling SaaS or software products to non-technical audiences

Not Suitable If:

You have only sold to corporates, individuals, or retail customers
You have never visited a school for a sales meeting
You expect only inbound leads — this role requires active hunting

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
