Full job description

Job Description: Senior SEO Specialist

Hours: Monday–Friday, up to 45 (some hours outside of this as required) Work hours: GMT Shift, 3.30 pm to 12.30 am. It will be a fixed shift.

Location: Office 801, 8th Floor, Cerebrum IT Park – B3, Kalyani Nagar, Pune, 411014

Length: Permanent position, with six-month probation period

Valasys Media is seeking an experienced Senior SEO Specialist to join our team and lead the development and execution of our SEO strategies. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience, a passion for data-driven marketing, and a proven track record of improving search engine rankings and organic traffic. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with various teams, including content, development, and marketing, to drive our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies: Design and execute strategies to increase search visibility, drive organic traffic, and enhance user engagement across multiple web properties.

Conduct in-depth keyword research: Identify high-potential keywords that align with user intent and optimize website content accordingly. On-page and off-page SEO optimization: Manage meta tags, headings, URL structures, and internal linking strategies while developing and executing link-building campaigns to boost domain authority.

Technical SEO audits: Perform regular audits to ensure websites are optimized for crawlability, mobile responsiveness, page load speeds, schema markup, and overall technical performance. Competitor analysis: Regularly review competitor SEO strategies to identify gaps, opportunities, and threats in order to adjust and improve our SEO tactics.

Lead SEO testing and experiments: Implement A/B testing and other SEO experiments to evaluate website performance and analyze the impact of changes on key SEO metrics. Collaborate with web developers: Work closely with developers to ensure the technical SEO aspects, such as website architecture and markup, are implemented effectively.

Content strategy collaboration: Partner with the content and marketing teams to develop high-quality, SEO-friendly content that aligns with both business objectives and search intent. Monitor and report on SEO performance: Track rankings, traffic, and conversions through tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs, providing actionable insights and reporting to stakeholders.

Project management: Manage SEO projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and resources are properly aligned with broader business goals. Optimize for AI-driven and answer-based search ecosystems: Drive visibility across generative platforms like Google SGE, ChatGPT, Perplexity AI, and answer engines like Google Search through structured, entity-driven, and intent-focused content strategies.

Enhance zero-click and AI answer visibility (GEO & AEO): Optimize content for featured snippets, voice search (via Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa), FAQs, and schema markup to ensure discoverability, accuracy, and brand presence in AI-generated and direct-answer results.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

4+ years of hands-on SEO experience, with a deep understanding of both technical and content SEO. Team Handling experience is must.

Expertise in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs and others.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

Experience with technical SEO, including page speed optimization, mobile optimization, and site architecture.

Proven track record in keyword research, content optimization, and link-building strategies.

Ability to work collaboratively across teams, including content, marketing, and development.

Up to date with the latest AEO and GEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry’s best practices.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex SEO concepts to non technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.

 Experience in managing large-scale websites with multiple pages over 100-200+

 Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic web development concepts.
