We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Telecom Network Engineering & Automation with 8+ years of experience across telecom network operations, monitoring platforms, and infrastructure transformation.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong Business Analysis foundation, deep network engineering domain expertise, and a clear automation and transformation mindset. This role requires the ability to analyze complex telecom network portfolios, identify opportunities for automation and optimization, and define a future state (transformed) monitoring and operations model.
The candidate will work closely with engineering, operations, architecture, and business stakeholders to translate operational pain points and business needs into scalable, automated, and resilient network solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Transformation
- Analyze end to end telecom network and monitoring portfolios to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements from network, operations, and leadership stakeholders
- Define current state vs. future state network monitoring and operations models with a strong focus on automation
- Translate business objectives into clear functional and non functional requirements for engineering and platform teams
- Support solution evaluation, vendor discussions, and technology selection from a business and architectural perspective
Network Engineering & Monitoring
- Analyze and assess network monitoring solutions across enterprise and carrier grade environments
- Monitor and evaluate network performance, availability, capacity, and ing effectiveness using industry standard tools
- Provide domain expertise across IP, MPLS, and wireless networks to support issue analysis and solution design
- Participate in network architecture discussions, contributing domain input to HLD/LLD and solution design
- Support incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management initiatives
Automation & Optimization
- Drive automation initiatives for network monitoring, ing, incident reduction, and operational efficiency
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through scripting, orchestration, and workflow automation
- Collaborate with automation and platform teams to define requirements for AIOps, self healing, and predictive monitoring use cases
- Measure and track benefits of automation initiatives (MTTR reduction, noise reduction, SLA improvement)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience across telecom/network engineering, monitoring, and operations, with strong BA ownership
- Strong understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, DNS, DHCP
- Hands on experience with network monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar)
- Solid understanding of NOC operations, incident management, and ITIL processes
- Experience working with routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud networking (AWS/Azure) is a plus
- Working knowledge of automation/scripting (Python, Shell, Ansible, or similar)
- Strong documentation, analysis, and stakeholder communication skills
Architecture & Business Analysis Experience
- Proven experience contributing to HLD/LLD from a BA and domain standpoint
- Strong ability to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and efficient network solutions
- Experience supporting solution architecture, platform modernization, and monitoring transformation initiatives
- Ability to balance technical depth with business outcomes and ROI considerations
