Full job description

Assistant Professor in Management:

Teaching Responsibilities:
Conducting lectures, seminars, and tutorials for undergraduate and/or postgraduate students in management subjects.
Developing course curriculum, syllabi, and teaching materials relevant to the field of management.
Assessing and evaluating students' coursework, assignments, and examinations.
Providing feedback and guidance to students to support their academic and professional development.
Supervising student research projects, dissertations, and theses.
Research and Scholarly Activities:
Engaging in academic research in the field of management, contributing to the knowledge base through publications in journals and conferences.
Participating in research collaborations and interdisciplinary projects.
Applying for research grants and funding to support research activities.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Contributing to departmental and institutional committees and meetings.
Participating in the development and revision of academic policies and procedures.
Mentoring and advising students on academic and career-related matters.
Participating in accreditation processes and quality assurance reviews.
Professional Development:
Continuing professional development through attending conferences, workshops, and seminars.
Keeping up-to-date with developments in the field of management through reading journals, books, and other relevant literature.
Networking with professionals in academia and industry to enhance teaching and research activities.

Admission Controller:

In addition to the Assistant Professor role, if the position includes responsibilities as an Admission Controller, the following additional duties may apply:

Admissions Process Management:
Overseeing the admissions process for undergraduate or postgraduate programs in management.
Developing and implementing admission criteria and procedures in accordance with institutional guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Reviewing and evaluating applications for admission, including conducting interviews and assessments as necessary.
Coordinating with other departments and stakeholders involved in the admissions process.
Marketing and Outreach:
Developing marketing strategies and materials to promote the management programs to potential students.
Representing the institution at recruitment events, career fairs, and information sessions.
Collaborating with marketing and communications teams to enhance the visibility and reputation of the management programs.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyzing admission trends, demographics, and statistics to inform strategic decision-making.
Preparing reports and presentations on admission metrics, yield rates, and other relevant data for management review.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

Teaching Effectiveness:
Student feedback on courses and teaching quality.
Academic performance and success rates of students.
Research Output:
Number of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Participation in conferences and workshops.
Administrative Contribution:
Contribution to departmental and institutional committees.
Effectiveness in policy development and implementation.

Admissions Management (if applicable):
Number of successful admissions and enrollment rates.
Efficiency and effectiveness of admissions processes.
Professional Development:
Participation in professional development activities.
Acquisition of new skills and knowledge relevant to teaching and research.
