Job Description – Shift Incharge
- Position: Shift Incharge
- Location: Nandesari, Vadodara

- Qualification: B.E. Chemical / B.E. Mechanical
- Experience: 3 to 5 Years
- Salary: Up to 5 LPA
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Shift Operations
- Handle complete plant operations during assigned shifts.
- Ensure smooth and continuous production activities as per planning.
- Monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, and reaction timings.
- Supervise batch charging, process execution, and material handling activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within quality and safety standards.
- Maintain proper shift handover and communication with the next shift team.
Manpower Management
- Supervise operators, helpers, and contract manpower during shifts.
- Allocate shift duties and monitor work performance.
- Ensure discipline, attendance, and productivity of shift manpower.
- Guide operators during startup, shutdown, and troubleshooting activities.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all safety procedures and SOPs are strictly followed.
- Promote use of PPE and safe working practices in plant area.
- Monitor plant safety conditions and report unsafe activities immediately.
- Coordinate with EHS department for compliance and safety audits.
- Handle emergency situations and take immediate corrective actions when required.
Coordination & Maintenance
- Coordinate with maintenance team during machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Work closely with QC, utility, warehouse, and production planning teams.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and utilities for smooth operations.
- Support utility operations such as boiler, cooling tower, chilling plant, and air compressor systems.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily shift reports, production logs, and operational records.
- Record production data, downtime, deviations, and incidents properly.
- Report shift performance and operational issues to management.
- Ensure proper documentation as per company standards and audit requirements.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of chemical plant operations and process handling.
- Knowledge of batch process manufacturing.
- Understanding of process safety and EHS practices.
- Ability to supervise manpower and shift activities independently.
- Good communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
- Basic troubleshooting and decision-making capability.
- Knowledge of utility systems and plant equipment.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- Candidates with experience in chemical, specialty chemical, pharma chemical, or API industries will be preferred.
- Experience in handling reactors, pumps, pipelines, and process equipment.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
- Local candidates from Vadodara, Nandesari, Bharuch, or Ankleshwar preferred.
