JOB DESCRIPTION – DISPATCH SUPERVISOR

Company: Nupur Shoe House Pvt. Ltd.
Department: Dispatch / Logistics
Position: Dispatch Supervisor
Industry: Footwear Manufacturing
Experience: Minimum 5 Years
Salary: Up to Rs.30,000 per month
Reporting To: Unit Head / Management

JOB PURPOSE

The Dispatch Supervisor will be responsible for managing and supervising the complete dispatch operations of the footwear manufacturing unit. The person will ensure that finished goods are properly checked, packed, documented, loaded, and dispatched to customers or designated locations on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Dispatch Operations
Plan and supervise daily dispatch activities.
Ensure finished footwear is dispatched as per customer orders and delivery schedules.
Coordinate with Production, Store, Accounts, and Management for smooth dispatch.
Ensure correct article, size, colour, quantity, and packing before dispatch.
Loading & Delivery
Supervise loading of goods into vehicles safely and properly.
Ensure proper counting and verification of cartons/pairs before loading.
Coordinate with drivers and transporters for timely delivery.
Maintain records of vehicle details, transporter details, and dispatch status.
Documentation
Prepare and maintain dispatch challans, invoices, packing lists, and other dispatch documents.
Check invoices and dispatch documents before goods leave the factory.
Coordinate with the Accounts team for required billing and e-way bill documentation.
Maintain proper daily dispatch records.
Stock & Order Control
Match physical finished-goods stock with dispatch documents.
Monitor pending orders and dispatch requirements.
Report shortages, excess quantities, damaged goods, or mismatches immediately.
Ensure no unauthorized material is dispatched.
Team Supervision
Supervise dispatch helpers and loading staff.
Allocate daily work and monitor their performance.
Ensure discipline, cleanliness, and proper handling of footwear during dispatch.
Ensure proper care of finished goods to avoid damage during handling.
Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with customers, transporters, production, store, and management regarding dispatch requirements.
Prepare daily dispatch reports.
Inform management about pending dispatches, delays, shortages, or other issues.
Follow up with transporters regarding delivery status when required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & SKILLS

Minimum 5 years of experience in footwear dispatch operations is mandatory.
Must have practical experience in the footwear manufacturing industry.
Experience in handling footwear cartons, finished goods, customer orders, and dispatch documentation.
Basic computer knowledge is mandatory.
Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, email, and basic data entry.
Good knowledge of dispatch documentation and stock verification.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to supervise helpers and loading staff.
Ability to work under pressure and meet dispatch deadlines.
Honest, responsible, disciplined, and capable of independently handling dispatch operations.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE

Candidates with direct experience in footwear manufacturing dispatch will be given preference. Experience in general logistics/warehouse dispatch without footwear-industry experience will not be preferred.

Timely dispatch as per customer requirements.
Proper documentation for every dispatch.
Minimum damage, shortage, or mismatch during dispatch.
Proper coordination with all concerned departments.
Maintain discipline and smooth functioning of the dispatch department.
