HR Generalist – Job Description

Job Title: HR Generalist
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: HR Manager / HR Head
Experience: 2–5 years

Job Summary:
The HR Generalist will handle day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, recruitment support, onboarding, attendance, payroll coordination, HR documentation, and compliance activities. The role requires strong communication, organization, and people-management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage employee onboarding and exit formalities.
Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
Coordinate recruitment, interviews, and candidate communication.
Monitor attendance, leave, and employee information.
Coordinate with payroll teams for salary processing and employee queries.
Support performance appraisal and employee engagement activities.
Handle employee grievances and resolve routine HR-related issues.
Ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated and followed.
Assist with statutory compliance and HR audits.
Prepare HR reports, MIS, and other management reports.
Support training and development initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in HR operations/generalist functions.
Good knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, and employee relations.
Familiarity with HRMS/HR software and MS Office/Excel.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
