Full job description

Key Responsibilities

Take overall responsibility for the sales, operations and performance of the branch.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
Lead, motivate and manage the branch sales and support teams.
Set individual and team targets and regularly monitor performance.
Analyze sales reports, customer trends and branch performance to identify opportunities for growth.
Ensure maximum conversion of showroom walk-ins into sales.
Monitor high-value sales, key customers and important business opportunities.
Ensure excellent customer service and personally handle major customer complaints and escalations.
Ensure proper product presentation, showroom standards and visual merchandising.
Monitor inventory, stock movement, stock accuracy and slow-moving products.
Coordinate with warehouse, delivery, installation and service teams to ensure timely customer fulfilment.
Monitor pending orders, deliveries, installations and after-sales service issues.
Manage branch expenses and ensure effective cost control.
Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
Recruit, train, coach and develop employees in coordination with management/HR.
Ensure proper staff scheduling, attendance, discipline and productivity.
Implement company policies, procedures, promotions and sales campaigns at branch level.
Maintain strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat business and referrals.
Prepare and submit regular sales, operational and performance reports to senior management.
Identify local market opportunities and recommend strategies to increase branch sales and market share.
Ensure compliance with company standards, safety procedures and statutory requirements.
Take ownership of overall branch profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
Branch revenue and profitability.
Sales conversion rate.
Team productivity and target achievement.
Customer satisfaction and complaint resolution.
Average transaction value and product mix.
Inventory accuracy and stock turnover.
Reduction of pending orders and delivery issues.
Employee retention and team performance.
Effective control of branch operating expenses.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
2–8 years of relevant experience in retail, preferably in home appliances, electronics, furniture or consumer durables.
Previous experience managing a showroom, branch or large sales team is highly preferred.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation and customer-handling abilities.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Good knowledge of MS Office, Excel and retail ERP/billing systems.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.
Good communication skills in Malayalam and English. Hindi will be an added advantage.
