Job Description: Account Clerk

Position Overview

The Account Clerk is responsible for providing support to the finance and accounting department by performing a range of clerical tasks related to financial record-keeping, reporting, and data management. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively under deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Transactions: Record, process, and reconcile financial transactions such as invoices, receipts, and payments.

Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions using accounting software.

Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements and company accounts to ensure accuracy.

Data Entry: Enter financial data into the accounting system with precision.

Assist in Reporting: Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.

Payroll Support: Assist in calculating and processing employee payroll and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

Invoice Management: Generate and process invoices, track payments, and handle any discrepancies.

Compliance and Tax Filings: Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and relevant regulations, including GST/TDS (if applicable). Fi

Administrative Support: Handle correspondence with vendors, customers, and other stakeholders related to financial matters.

Filing and Record Maintenance: Organize and maintain physical and digital records for audit and reference purposes.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office, especially Excel.

Analytical Skills: Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.

Integrity: High level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹60,000.00 per month
