General Manager – Sales & Marketing

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager – Sales & Marketing to lead the organization's sales and marketing functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, building strong customer relationships, and leading high-performing sales and marketing teams. This role requires excellent leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to achieve business objectives.
Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships.
Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and marketing teams to achieve performance targets.
Prepare annual sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
Oversee branding, promotional campaigns, digital marketing, exhibitions, and product launches.
Coordinate with production, finance, and operations teams to ensure timely order execution and customer satisfaction.
Analyze sales data, prepare MIS reports, and present business performance to senior management.
Develop pricing strategies and negotiate major contracts with key clients.
Ensure achievement of sales targets while maintaining profitability.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and business meetings.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
MBA in Marketing or Sales is preferred.
Additional certifications in Sales Management, Digital Marketing, or Business Development will be an advantage.

Experience

15-20 years of progressive experience in Sales & Marketing.
Experience in strategic planning, business development, key account management, and team leadership.
Industry-specific experience is preferred.

Required Skills

Strong leadership and people management skills.
Knowledge on the paint industry field is more prefarable.
Excellent sales negotiation and closing abilities.
Strategic planning and business development expertise.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Customer relationship management (CRM) knowledge.
Budgeting and financial planning skills.
Market research and competitive analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP software.
Ability to work under pressure and meet business targets.

Salary

₹55,000-60,000 per month, depending on experience, industry, and location.
Performance incentives, annual bonus, medical insurance, travel allowance, and other company benefits may be provided.

Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
