Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
- Manage day-to-day branch operations for FTL transportation.
- Ensure timely placement of vehicles and on-time delivery of shipments.
- Monitor vehicle movement through GPS and coordinate with drivers and transporters.
- Optimize fleet utilization to maximize operational efficiency.
- Handle route planning, trip scheduling, and dispatch activities.
- Resolve operational issues, delays, vehicle breakdowns, and customer escalations promptly.
Business Development
- Develop new business opportunities to increase FTL transportation revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct regular customer visits and identify opportunities for business expansion.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate freight rates, and finalize contracts.
- Achieve monthly and annual revenue targets.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure timely updates regarding shipment status.
- Address customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular service review meetings with key customers.
Vendor & Fleet Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with fleet owners and transport vendors.
- Ensure availability of vehicles as per customer requirements.
- Negotiate transportation rates with vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance with service standards.
Financial Management
- Manage branch profitability and cost control.
- Monitor freight margins and operational expenses.
- Approve branch expenses within authorized limits.
- Ensure timely billing, collections, and payment follow-ups.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, revenue reports, and profitability analysis.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate branch employees.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
- Conduct regular training on operational processes and safety standards.
- Manage recruitment, attendance, leave, and performance evaluations.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
- Monitor statutory compliance related to logistics operations.
- Ensure accurate documentation including PODs, e-way bills, invoices, LRs, permits, and trip records.
- Coordinate with finance and audit teams for compliance requirements.
Safety & Quality
- Promote safe transportation practices.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs.
- Monitor accident reports and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain high service quality and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- MBA in Operations/Logistics preferred.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in logistics and transportation.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing an FTL logistics branch.
- Experience in handling large fleets and transporter networks.
