Position: Clerk-cum-Typist

Job Summary

Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School invites applications from qualified, organized, and dedicated candidates for the post of Clerk-cum-Typist. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing clerical, administrative, and typing support to ensure the smooth functioning of the school's administrative office.

Key Responsibilities

Perform typing of official letters, notices, reports, certificates, circulars, and other school documents.
Maintain and update student, staff, and administrative records in both physical and digital formats.
Prepare correspondence, meeting minutes, and official communications.
Handle filing, documentation, and record management efficiently.
Assist with admissions, examinations, and other administrative processes.
Receive and respond to telephone calls, emails, and visitor enquiries professionally.
Operate office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, and photocopiers.
Maintain confidentiality of school records and official information.
Perform data entry and ensure the accuracy of administrative records.
Carry out any other clerical or administrative duties assigned by the Principal or School Management.

Eligibility Criteria

Higher Secondary (10+2) or Graduate from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in English typing and computer applications.
Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email communication.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain records accurately and work independently.
Prior experience in a school or educational institution will be preferred.
