Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) / Application Specialists
This role is designed to strengthen scientific engagement and clinical support across key territories in India by deploying dedicated Regional Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) / Application Specialists. The position plays a critical role in bridging Medical Affairs with field level clinical practice by engaging surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), hospital stakeholders, and operating theatre (OT) teams. Operating at the intersection of medical science, procedure support, and commercial activation, the role is focused on driving meaningful scientific exchange, enhancing clinical adoption, and enabling indirect demand generation through strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
KOL Engagement: Identify and map 25–30 regional KOLs across CTVS and hepatobiliary specialties
Build long-term scientific relationships with surgeons at premier academic and private institutions
Facilitate advisory board participation and co-authorship on India NPU case series
Support KOL-led presentations at IACTS, ASI, and CSI regional chapters.
Clinical & OT Support: In-OT clinical detailing and product application support — "press & proceed" technique Train surgeons, perfusionists, and OT nurses on application protocol
Facilitate cadaveric lab sessions and hands-on simulation demonstrations iPad-based scientific detailing — RCT evidence, MoA, and head-to-head comparisons.
Demand Generation: Drive indirect demand via KOL advocacy, CME engagement, and peer-to-peer influence Support formulary submissions across 20+ Tier 1 accounts per region Collaborate with regional distributors to activate consignment models at key accounts. Generate NPU case series data to support the India clinical evidence narrative.
>Execute a structured account visit cadence — 2× per month for Tier A accounts, 1× per month for Tier B accounts, with distributor rep accompaniment where required.
>Represent at national and regional surgical conferences — IACTS Annual Conference, CSI Annual Congress, ASI Annual Conference, and regional chapter meetings — as a scientific speaker and booth representative.
>Collaborate with Medical Affairs to support Named Patient Use (NPU) facilitation at 1–2 anchor hospitals per region, documenting outcomes to build India's clinical evidence dossier.
>Communicate health economic arguments to hospital procurement and formulary committees — OR time reduction, rebleed prevention, and cost-per-outcome modelling versus liquid fibrin alternatives.
>Maintain a thorough CRM record of surgeon interactions, formulary status, and competitive intelligence — particularly EVARREST® formulary lock-in at Tier 1 accounts.
>Coordinate with the cold chain and distributor network to ensure product storage compliance (2–25°C), timely supply, and correct handling at hospital OT stores.
>Monitor and report adverse events or product quality complaints as per Corza's pharmacovigilance SOP and CDSCO guidelines.
>Provide monthly business review inputs — units used, accounts added, KOL engagement status, and field intelligence — to the Commercial Head.

Qualifications & Requirements
>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, or Nursing — B.Sc./M.Sc. / M.Pharm preferred. MBBS with surgical exposure is a strong advantage.
>5–7 years of field experience in medical devices, surgical products, or pharmaceuticals — with direct operating theatre (OT) exposure in cardiac, hepatobiliary, or a closely related surgical specialty.
>Demonstrated experience in KOL engagement, surgeon relationship management, or clinical / application specialist roles within the surgical domain.
>Familiarity with surgical haemostasis, fibrin sealants, or biosurgical products is highly advantageous; knowledge of intraoperative haemostatic adjuncts is desirable.
>Proven ability to operate independently in a field-based role — territory planning, account prioritisation, and visit scheduling without close supervision.
>Proficient with CRM platforms, MS Office, and iPad-based digital detailing tools.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region (60–70% travel expected).

Cross-functional Works seamlessly across Medical Affairs, commercial, distributor, and cold chain
Cross-functional Collaboration: Works seamlessly across Medical Affairs, commercial, distributor, and cold chain teams — acting as the regional connective tissue across all functions.
Entrepreneurial Drive: Self-starter who can build territory from a blank slate — mapping an empty

audience alongside CTVS.
>Prior experience in a biosurgical, haemostatic, or surgical sealant category — familiarity with EVARREST® (J&J Ethicon), Tisseel® (Baxter), Surgical, or Floseal is a distinct advantage.
