Role profile:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workday Systems Engineer to join our People Engineering team and lead the design, development, and optimization of People Operations Engineering Processes, Security Architecture, Authentication Policy Design in our Workday platform. This role will serve as a technical expert with hands on technical expertise around Security Architecture, Multi-functional Processes, Mass Data Management, Authentication Policy Design, Setup and will partner with the People function, Procurement and other customers to design, develop and implementation of smooth, scalable, secure solutions, aligned with business goals and focused on delivering a best-in-class user experience.
ROLE SUMMARY:

System Design & Architecture:
-
Lead the technical design and configuration of Workday Solutions – specialising in security architecture, authentication and cross functional services.

Enhancements:
-
Handle Workday functionality implementations, upgrades, and feature rollouts.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
-
Support & Maintenance:
-
Handle sophisticated fix and support for Workday issues with focus on identifying the opportunities to reduce the overall support cases.
-
Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
-
Lead the Testing workstream and collaborate with customers to complete end to end testing
-
Governance & Compliance:
-
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
-
Maintain documentation for system configurations, integrations, and processes.

Mentorship & Collaboration:
-
Mentor more junior Workday engineers.
-
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business customers.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
-
Partner with People Functions teams to gather and analyze requirements for Workday security configurations.
-
Assess existing security architecture and provide authoritative recommendations to ensure robust, scalable, solutions.
-
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to define scope, requirements, timelines, and outcomes for Workday initiatives.

Design and implement sustainable, efficient, and easy-to-follow configurations in Workday, focusing on security architecture, multi-functional services, and authentication.

Review Workday service updates and bi-annual releases to identify new enhancements, discovery items, and assess adoption strategies for continuous improvement.

Lead the testing workstream, driving end-to-end test planning, execution, and coordination. Work closely to ensure comprehensive testing strategies and high-quality work.

Independently handle all phases of the project lifecycle for Workday configuration projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

Support training, testing, and user adoption activities to enable smooth rollout and long-term sustainability of solutions.

Provide audit support by ensuring security configurations, processes, and documentation meet compliance standards and are readily available for internal and external audits.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Essential Skills & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience with Workday, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role. Experience must be in Workday HCM/Security with solid understanding of sophisticated security setup, solutions, authentication via SSO, OAuth etc,

Solid understanding of Workday business processes.

Understanding of Workday integrations and reporting.

Experience with Workday releases and change processes.

Ability to handle own projects through all stages
Desirable Skills

Workday certifications in one or more modules.

Experience with Workday Extend.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Asana or ServiceNow.
