Job Title: Purchase Executive
Department: Purchase / Procurement
Reports To: Purchase Manager / Procurement Manager
Location: Tushar Trans Equipment PVT LTD, Bharuch
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to manage day-to-day procurement activities, vendor coordination, purchase orders, material follow-ups, and documentation. The ideal candidate should have good negotiation and communication skills, strong knowledge of procurement processes, and the ability to ensure timely availability of materials at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate suitable suppliers and vendors based on quality, price, delivery, and service.
Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Follow up on pending purchase orders and maintain proper delivery schedules.
Coordinate with Stores, Production, Quality, Accounts, and other departments regarding material requirements.
Verify purchase requisitions and ensure purchases are made as per approved specifications.
Maintain updated records of vendors, quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and related documents.
Monitor supplier performance, quality issues, shortages, and delays.
Assist in identifying alternative suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approval procedures.
Support inventory planning by coordinating with stores and relevant departments.
Resolve vendor-related issues related to price, quality, quantity, delivery, and documentation.
Prepare regular purchase reports and maintain procurement-related MIS.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing and potential suppliers.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of purchasing and procurement processes.
Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to compare quotations and analyze commercial terms.
Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and email communication.
Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements simultaneously.
Good attention to detail and documentation skills.
Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
Knowledge of ERP/SAP/Tally or other purchase software will be an advantage.

Educational Qualification

Graduate in any discipline.
Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, or a related field will be preferred.

Experience

1–4 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in a manufacturing, engineering, trading, or industrial organization.
Freshers with relevant qualifications and strong communication skills may also be considered.
