Group Sustainable Development is a strategic imperative for our business. The HAECO Group Sustainable Development Team advises senior management on key environmental developments and emerging risks related to sustainable development (SD). It is responsible for formulating environmental governance and targets, monitoring, and for improving and reporting on the Group’s environmental performance.
As part of the Group Sustainable Development Team, the Assistant Group Environmental Manager – Data & Reporting is responsible for improving the quality of HAECO Group’s environmental data and reporting, and for conducting analysis to support actions towards the Group’s near-term and long-term environmental goals. The role provides subject matter expertise in environmental data collection, management and reporting best practice, and leads Group-wide initiatives to improve and standardise environmental performance data and reporting.

Assist in the development of Group Sustainable Development (SD) strategies, initiatives, targets and key performance indicators.

Lead the monitoring, analysis, reporting and auditing of SD data, targets and performance.

Manage the sustainability data platform, and monitor and improve data quality.

Work with the Swire Pacific Group to ensure that projects and initiatives align with the 2050 goals of net zero carbon emissions, water neutrality and zero waste to landfill.

Drive HAECO Group’s environmental excellence by supporting entities in defining project scope, design and plans, success criteria, operational and procurement requirements, and by formulating recommendations.

Perform other duties as assigned.
1. Functional and other Relevant Experience
-
At least 5 years’ experience in environmental sustainability within an industrial organisation and/or environmental consultancy.

Working knowledge of environmental sustainability best practices and reporting standards, such as the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol, including Scope 3; the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB); the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD); and the Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).

Strong ability to manage, understand and analyse complex data, and to develop insights and actions from that analysis.
2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree or above in Environmental Management, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline.

Strong problem-solving, quantitative, analytical and project management skills, with the ability to think strategically and operate effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Well-organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with tact and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently with limited guidance or supervision.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.

Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
