Bakery Salesman & Cashier
Company: Ojin Bakes
Position: Bakery Salesman & Cashier
Location: Kovoor, Kozhikode, Kerala

Job Summary

The Bakery Salesman & Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, promoting bakery products, handling billing and cash transactions, maintaining product displays, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the bakery outlet. The role requires good communication skills, accuracy in cash handling, and a customer-friendly attitude.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Service

Welcome customers and assist them in selecting bakery products.
Provide information about cakes, snacks, sweets, breads, and other bakery items.
Promote special offers and suggest additional products to increase sales.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.

Cashier Duties

Operate the billing/POS system accurately.
Receive cash, card, UPI, and other digital payments.
Issue bills and receipts to customers.
Maintain accurate cash records and balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
Report any discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.

Product Handling & Display

Arrange products attractively in display counters and shelves.
Monitor stock levels and inform management when replenishment is required.
Ensure products are fresh, properly labeled, and displayed according to company standards.
Assist in receiving and checking deliveries.

Store Maintenance

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the sales area.
Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
Ensure counters, shelves, and display units remain neat and organized.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum SSLC/Plus Two qualification.
Previous experience in bakery, retail sales, or cashier roles is preferred.
Basic computer and billing software knowledge.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Honest, responsible, and customer-focused.
