Role Overview
We are seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) Intern to serve as the first point of contact between App Knit and prospective clients. The primary responsibility of this role is to identify potential opportunities, engage with prospects, qualify leads, and create a strong pipeline for the sales team.
This internship is designed for candidates who are interested in building a long-term career in technology sales and business development. The role provides hands-on exposure to lead generation, client communication, CRM management, sales qualification, and international business development processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Qualification & Prospect Engagement
- Act as the first point of contact for prospective clients and business opportunities.
- Engage with inbound and outbound leads to understand their business requirements.
- Qualify prospects based on project scope, budget, timeline, and service fit.
- Schedule discovery calls and meetings for senior sales team members.
- Maintain consistent follow-ups with prospects throughout the initial sales cycle.
- Build and nurture relationships with potential clients to generate future opportunities.
Sales Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate records of leads, activities, and communications in HubSpot CRM.
- Track lead status and update sales pipelines regularly.
- Prepare weekly activity and lead generation reports.
- Support the sales team in developing and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.
Market Research & Business Development Support
- Research potential clients through LinkedIn, Upwork, Clutch, referrals, and other online platforms.
- Gather market intelligence and provide insights on industry trends and competitor activities.
- Assist in understanding client requirements and support proposal preparation.
- Ensure timely and professional communication with prospects across various channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Business Development Executives.
- Support smooth handoff of qualified opportunities to the respective teams.
- Participate in internal sales training and strategy discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (completed or pursuing).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of sales, marketing, business development, or customer engagement.
- Comfortable using internet research tools and social media platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Strong ownership mindset and proactive approach toward learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship, project, or work experience in sales, marketing, customer support, or business development.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Upwork, HubSpot, or other CRM tools is a plus.
- Interest in IT services, software development, and technology sales.
- Comfortable interacting with international clients and prospects.
Internship & Full-Time Conversion
- Initial internship duration will be 3 months.
- During this period, candidates will receive a stipend of ₹17,500 per month.
- Upon successful completion of the internship, candidates may be considered for a full-time role based on:

Potential Full-Time Compensation: ₹40,000 – ₹45,000 per month, based on performance evaluation and business needs.
