Job Title: Accounts Intern
Department: Accounts & Finance
Location: Barasat, Kolkata
Employment Type: Internship (Full-Time)
Duration: [3/6 Months]
Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Head

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Intern to support our Accounts and Finance Department. The ideal candidate should have basic accounting knowledge, be proficient in Tally ERP/Tally Prime, and possess strong data entry skills. This internship will provide hands-on experience in accounting operations, financial record management, and administrative support.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Bookkeeping

Assist in maintaining day-to-day accounting records in Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
Record sales, purchase, receipt, payment, and journal vouchers accurately.
Support in bank reconciliation and ledger verification.
Maintain proper accounting documentation and filing systems.
Assist in preparing basic financial reports and statements.

Data Entry & Documentation

Perform accurate and timely data entry of financial transactions.
Update and maintain accounting databases and spreadsheets.
Verify invoices, bills, receipts, and supporting documents before entry.
Ensure all records are organized and updated regularly.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.

Administrative Support

Assist in invoice preparation and payment tracking.
Coordinate with internal departments for accounting-related documentation.
Support GST, TDS, and other compliance-related documentation (if applicable).
Assist the accounts team during audits and financial reviews.
Perform other tasks assigned by the Accounts Manager.

Eligibility Criteria

Pursuing or recently completed B.Com, M.Com, BBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Knowledge of Tally ERP/Tally Prime is mandatory.
Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and Google Sheets.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
