The Executive Producer (EP) will be responsible for the creation and execution of a comprehensive YouTube strategy for Nettv4u (YouTube channel). He/She will generate plans for the growth and development of new and ownable content ideas and will be working with the Editor and the Executive Producer of the Original Series. The EP is responsible in analyzing opportunities for expanding the existence of Nettv4u and creating impact on YouTube. He/She will also be working with the Head of Social Video & Publishing to develop the best practices in publishing strategies.

Specifically, the EP will work with the Editor in developing content strategy, borne out of the existing newsroom - identifying the stories and talent that best cross platforms and formats. He/She will need to report to the Editor.

Job Description

To develop and execute a YouTube strategy for Nettv4u, with focus on existing channels, and channel growth.
Ensure production values and editing styles that will maintain the Nettv4u channel, but with special attention to what can possibly work on YouTube
Oversee the editorial calendars on each channel
Develop a YouTube approach to up-to-date news coverage for the Nettv4u channel
Develop the Explainers’ strategy and execution for the Nettv4u channel
Work with the newsroom to expand original reporting skills with specific focus on YouTube content
Identify new franchises, in collaboration with EP for Original Series, that works on YouTube
Develop skills on On-Camera
To identify newsroom talent for the development of Nettv4u channel on YouTube
To source new talents for our YouTube channels
Work closely with Social Publishing and Audience Development team to develop strategy for audience’ acquisition and growth.

Required Knowledge, Skills

2+ years experience in Journalism and/or Video Production
1-2 years leadership experience preferred
Experience in managing/producing explainers or 3-7min. content
Proficient in video editing, ideally Adobe Premiere is a plus
Experience in running and growing a YouTube channel is a must
Experience in shooting/producing/editing is a plus
Experience in various style of reporting and video creation (digital-first, TV, social-only, longform, live, episodic or serial)
Excellent communication skills, in person and in various written formats (Slack, email, etc.)
Strong news judgment
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure is a must
Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
Can guide and mentor producers in shaping their stories
Flexible and can work late nights occasionally as per the news cycle
