The company is expanding its technical capability in India to support IoT hardware development, embedded integration, field deployment, and sensor-to-cloud monitoring solutions.
Role Purpose
The Senior IoT Hardware & Embedded Integration Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting IoT-based real-time monitoring systems for construction, geotechnical, structural, industrial, and environmental monitoring applications. The role requires strong hands-on experience in embedded firmware, hardware debugging, sensor integration, wireless communication, field deployment, and cloud/dashboard connectivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and troubleshoot IoT hardware systems, sensor-based embedded products, data loggers, IoT gateways, GPS trackers, telematics devices, and router-based monitoring solutions.
- Integrate geotechnical, structural, and environmental sensors such as vibration sensors, tiltmeters, inclinometers, piezometers, water level sensors, strain gauges, load cells, weather sensors, noise sensors, dust sensors, and air-quality sensors.
- Integrate communication modules and peripherals with embedded controllers and IoT devices.
- Work on GPS/GNSS, GSM/GPRS/4G/LTE, BLE, Wi-Fi, LoRa/LoRaWAN, CAN-based systems, and industrial communication interfaces.
- Develop, test, and debug embedded firmware using Embedded C/C++.
- Handle hardware bring-up, board-level debugging, prototype validation, and field issue analysis.
- Interface peripherals using UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Modbus RTU, and Modbus TCP protocols.
- Implement and troubleshoot MQTT, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, socket communication, and API-based data transmission.
- Support real-time data transmission from site devices to cloud servers, databases, web dashboards, and mobile applications.
- Work closely with PCB design, production, server, dashboard, and mobile application teams.
- Perform root-cause analysis for hardware, firmware, communication, power, signal, and field installation issues.
- Support OTA firmware upgrades, remote diagnostics, configuration management, and device health monitoring.
- Validate device stability under real-time field conditions, including construction sites, outdoor environments, and industrial locations.
- Analyze logs, packet data, telemetry data, and communication errors for issue resolution.
- Optimize power consumption, battery performance, solar power integration, and overall device reliability.
- Support rugged field deployment, including IP-rated enclosures, cable routing, grounding, surge protection, SIM/network connectivity, weatherproofing, and power backup systems.
- Coordinate with vendors for sensors, modules, antennas, batteries, enclosures, PCBs, and hardware components.
- Participate in product architecture, testing, certification, production readiness, documentation, and deployment activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive technical improvements in hardware, firmware, integration, and field troubleshooting processes.
Required Technical SkillsEmbedded & Firmware
- Strong experience in Embedded C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with RTOS/FreeRTOS.
- Experience with microcontrollers such as STM32, ESP32, ARM Cortex, PIC controllers, or similar platforms.
- Firmware debugging, optimization, device startup, bootloader, watchdog, and memory management experience.
- Ability to write reliable firmware for field-deployed IoT devices.
Hardware & Electronics
- Strong understanding of digital electronics, analog electronics, power supply design, battery management, signal integrity, and sensor interfacing.
- Experience in PCB debugging, hardware validation, schematic reading, and circuit troubleshooting.
- Hands-on usage of oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter, serial debugging tools, and other electronics test equipment.
- Knowledge of low-power design, battery backup, solar charging, surge protection, and outdoor device reliability.
Communication Protocols
- Strong knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN Bus, RS232, RS485, Modbus RTU, and Modbus TCP.
- Strong knowledge of MQTT, TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, socket programming, and cloud data communication.
- Ability to troubleshoot communication failures using logs, packet captures, serial data, and field test results.
Wireless & IoT Technologies
- Hands-on experience with GPS/GNSS modules, GSM/GPRS/4G/LTE modules, BLE, Wi-Fi, IoT gateways, telematics systems, and industrial IoT devices.
- Experience with modules from Quectel, SIMCom, Telit, u-blox, or similar manufacturers will be an advantage.
- Experience with SIM management, antenna selection, signal-strength testing, and network troubleshooting will be preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Linux-based embedded systems.
- Device driver understanding.
- Python scripting for testing, automation, and data validation.
- Cloud IoT platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or similar platforms.
- OTA update systems and remote device management.

- Diploma candidates with strong hands-on embedded hardware, firmware, and IoT product development experience may also be considered.
Selection Preference
- Preference will be given to candidates who have developed or integrated field-deployed IoT devices, sensor gateways, GPS/telemetry devices, industrial monitoring systems, or real-time data acquisition systems.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate hands-on experience in hardware debugging, firmware troubleshooting, communication protocols, and sensor-to-cloud integration.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
