JOB DESCRIPTION (JD)Position: Medical Typist / Medical TranscriptionistDepartment:

Position Summary

The Medical Typist / Medical Transcriptionist is responsible for accurately transcribing, typing, editing, and discharge summaries. The position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent typing skills, and strict adherence to patient confidentiality and hospital policies.

Key ResponsibilitiesMedical Typing & Documentation

Type and prepare discharge summaries, medical reports, certificates, referral notes, and clinical documents.
Prepare OPD, IPD, ICU, Emergency, and procedure-related documentation.
Ensure all reports are completed accurately and within the prescribed turnaround time.
Format and proofread documents before final submission.

Medical Transcription

Transcribe doctors' dictated notes, audio recordings, and handwritten clinical notes into electronic format.
Convert medical dictations into accurate and standardized reports.
Review transcribed reports for grammatical, spelling, and medical terminology accuracy.
Clarify unclear dictations with concerned consultants whenever required.

Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with consultants, residents, nursing staff, and administrative departments.
Follow up for pending discharge summaries and clinical documentation.
Assist departments in preparing reports required for insurance, TPA, CGHS, ECHS, NABH, and statutory compliance.

Compliance & Confidentiality

Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Comply with NABH standards, hospital policies, and legal requirements.
Ensure secure handling of patient records and medical data.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
