Full job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee financial operations for our interior designing firm. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, project-based accounting, and financial reporting. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring compliance, managing budgets, and supporting financial decision-making to enhance business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage complete accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation
Handle project-wise accounting, cost tracking, and profitability analysis for interior design projects
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Monitor budgets, expenses, and cash flow to ensure financial stability
Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory regulations
Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting
Oversee invoicing, client billing, and vendor payments
Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processes
Supervise junior accounting staff (if applicable)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter / MBA Finance preferred)
3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in interior design, construction, or project-based industries
Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks)
Good understanding of Indian taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax)
Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools
High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Good communication and abilities

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in handling project costing and vendor management
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive approach
