About the Role
LeadAngel is a B2B SaaS platform specializing in lead routing, scheduling, and CRM-integrated sales automation. We are looking for an experienced SEO Executive who can independently own and drive the organic growth strategy for our product website and content ecosystem. This is a product-ownership role — the candidate will be expected to think beyond isolated SEO tasks and take end-to-end responsibility for how LeadAngel is discovered, understood, and trusted online, both by traditional search engines and by AI-driven answer engines (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity).
Key Responsibilities
1. On-Page & Technical SEO
- Conduct technical SEO audits across product, feature, and blog pages; identify and fix issues such as broken metadata, incorrect content categorization, thin content, and crawlability gaps.
- Own meta title and meta description creation for product pages and blog content, ensuring alignment with search intent and CTR best practices.
- Identify and resolve keyword cannibalization between blog content and product/feature pages.
- Manage and audit internal linking structure, prioritizing contextual in-body links over tag-based widgets; ensure low-value archive pages are appropriately no-indexed.
2. Content Strategy & SEO Writing
- Plan and execute topic research across TOFU, MOFU, and BOFU funnel stages to build topical authority.
- Write or oversee SEO-optimized content including informational guides, competitor comparison articles, and listicles, following established content templates and brand voice.
- Score and audit existing content against a defined SEO, readability, AI-citability, and E-E-A-T rubric, and lead rewrites to close identified gaps.
- Develop FAQ content and structured Q&A assets aligned to product pages (calendar scheduling, offline scheduling, CRM integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.).
3. AEO / GEO (Answer Engine & Generative Engine Optimization)
- Own LeadAngel’s visibility strategy within AI-generated answers (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) — not just traditional SERP rankings.
- Identify and close AEO/GEO gaps such as inconsistent entity-defining language, unattributed statistics, and thin third-party review presence (G2, Capterra).
- Track and improve citation frequency and answer-engine visibility over time.
4. Competitive Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor key competitors on an ongoing basis and translate competitive gaps into actionable SEO/content initiatives.
- Build and maintain keyword-tracking and SERP position reports across multiple markets/geographies.
- Prepare and present periodic SEO performance reports and roadmaps to stakeholders, including gap analyses benchmarked against competitors.
5. Cross-Functional & Product Ownership
- Work closely with design and development teams on page redesigns, providing SEO and structured-content input on mockups before implementation.
- Take ownership of assigned product areas or page clusters end-to-end — from audit, to strategy, to execution, to reporting — without requiring constant oversight.
- Advise on website consent/tracking strategy considerations (e.g., regional consent requirements) as they intersect with SEO data collection and reporting (e.g., Google Search Console, GA4).
- Proactively flag risks (e.g., data gaps caused by consent gating) and recommend mitigations to protect SEO visibility into performance.
6. Social Media
- Basic understanding of how organic content performs across social platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter) and how it ties into overall brand visibility and backlink/referral opportunities.
- Ability to repurpose blog/SEO content into social-friendly formats to support distribution and off-page signals.
- Familiarity with tracking social referral traffic via GA4 and tying it back to SEO/content performance.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally within a B2B SaaS or product-led company.
- Strong understanding of on-page, technical, and content SEO fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of JSON-LD/structured data and schema markup implementation.
- Familiarity with AEO/GEO concepts and how AI answer engines source and cite content is a strong plus.
- Experience with SEO and analytics tools (e.g., Google Search Console, GA4, keyword research and rank-tracking tools).
- Excellent written English with the ability to write or closely guide clear, structured, client/product-facing content.
- Strong analytical skills — comfortable building and interpreting keyword/ranking reports (e.g., in Excel/Sheets).
- Experience working with WordPress/Elementor or similar CMS platforms preferred.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with content writers, designers, and developers.
- Self-driven, ownership-oriented mindset — comfortable taking full responsibility for a product area’s organic performance rather than working only on assigned tickets.
