Full job description

Experience: Minimum 2 Years. Experience in Shipbuilding Industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

Grind, smooth, and prepare metal surfaces of hulls, decks, and structural components to meet required finish standards before welding, painting, or coating.
Remove weld spatter, excess weld material, and surface defects using angle grinders, disc grinders, and pneumatic tools to achieve smooth and uniform weld profiles.
Identify and remove rust, mill scale, old paint, and corrosion from metal structures using grinding and abrasive tools to prepare surfaces for protective coatings.
Grind and dress metal components to precise dimensions and tolerances as per engineering drawings and project specifications.
Operate and maintain grinding machines, angle grinders, bench grinders, pneumatic grinders, and abrasive tools safely and efficiently ensuring proper upkeep.
Ensure all ground surfaces meet required quality standards and class society requirements while supporting QC inspectors during surface and weld finish inspections.
Strictly follow HSE regulations by wearing appropriate PPE including face shield, gloves, ear protection, and respirator while complying with hot work and fire watch procedures.
Work closely with welders, structural fitters, blasters, and supervisors to ensure timely surface readiness and smooth workflow across all production stages.
Maintain a clean and safe work area by properly disposing of grinding debris, used abrasive discs, and metal waste in line with environmental and safety standards.
Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time in line with organizational objectives, demonstrating proficiency in grinding tools, physical stamina, and a proactive work approach.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
