Full job description

Key Responsibilities

Government Portal & Board Compliance

Manage Portals: Update and maintain student and school data on state networks like SSA Gujarat and national portals like UDISE+.
Board Registration: Process Board Exam registration forms for Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) students.
Scholarship Administration: Upload student data to government portals to process welfare scholarships.
RTE Compliance: Handle admission documentation related to the Right to Education (RTE) act portal.

Student & Records Management

General Register (GR): Maintain the highly confidential General Register of the school with absolute accuracy.
Document Issuance: Draft and issue Leaving Certificates (LC), Bonafide Certificates, and character certificates.
Admission Support: Review incoming student documents, verify previous school records, and manage the enrollment pipeline.

Accounting & Financial Duties

Fee Collection: Process quarterly/term fees, issue receipts, and manage digital fee databases.
Expense Tracking: Maintain records of daily school expenses, purchase invoices, and office inventories.
Payroll Processing: Assist in managing staff attendance registers and preparing monthly salary sheets. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

General Administration

Correspondence: Handle incoming/outgoing emails, formal letters to the education department, and phone calls.
Exam Logistics: Support school leadership during GSEB final board exams with center arrangements, sitting arrangements, and staff duty logs.

Skills & Requirements

Education: Minimum Class 12 (Higher Secondary) pass, though a Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred by most institutions.
Language Proficiency: Complete fluency in written and spoken Gujarati is mandatory, along with a good command of Hindi and English.
Computer Literacy: Mandatory certificate or proof of basic computer knowledge (such as CCC/CCC+ or equivalent).
Software Knowledge: High proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word) and speed typing in the Gujarati language script.
