Job Title: Staff NurseDepartment: NursingReports To: Nursing Incharge / Ward SupervisorJob Summary:
Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, monitoring patient health, administering medications, and supporting doctors in treatment procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients as per hospital protocols
- Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration)
- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids as prescribed by doctors
- Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and surgeries
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation
- Ensure infection control practices and hygiene standards
- Handle emergency situations and provide first aid / CPR if required
- Educate patients and relatives about treatment and care plans
- Coordinate with other departments for patient care
- Maintain proper handover during shift changes
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong clinical and patient care skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle emergency situations
- Knowledge of medical equipment and procedures
- Teamwork and coordination
- Attention to detail
Qualification & Experience:
- Qualification: GNM / B.Sc Nursing
- Registration: Valid Nursing Council Registration
- Experience: 0–3 years (Freshers can also apply)
Working Conditions:
- Rotational shifts (Day/Night)
- Work in wards, ICU, OT, OPD
Additional Requirements:
- Basic computer knowledge
