Full job description

Position: Accounts Executive / GST Accountant

Responsibilities:

Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions.
Record purchase, sales, payment, and receipt entries in Zoho Books.
Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, etc.).
Perform GST reconciliation and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Handle bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny.
Prepare invoices, credit notes, and debit notes.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist in monthly and annual financial closing.
Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants during audits.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Generate MIS reports and financial statements as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
1–5 years of accounting experience.
Working knowledge of GST compliance and return filing.
Hands-on experience with Zoho Books (mandatory/preferred).
Good understanding of TDS, bank reconciliation, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Tiruvalla, Kerala (Tiruvalla, Pathanamthitta District): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
