Description
United Airlines is seeking experienced engineering to join their Technical Operations team, which is responsible for maintaining aircraft and ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. The role involves problem-solving related to aircraft design, maintenance, and modifications, as well as managing technical publications and coordinating with OEMs.
Job overview and responsibilities
Studies, analyzes, and seeks solutions to problems related to the design, operation, maintenance, performance, modification, or repair of aircraft, and their components in a wide variety of engineering areas, including systems and structures. This job requires a structured, logical, and analytical approach to problem solving. Analyzes and implements regulatory requirements. Evaluates the effects of modifications or new equipment on reliability and performance. Evaluates the benefits of the cost impact of a fleet decision to ensure an optimum balance of cost, asset utilization, quality, and reliability. Authors, designs, tests, and manages projects. Provides on-site technical support for line and base operations. Communicate with customers on technical issues, work scope recommendations, and failure investigations. Interfaces with internal and external organizations regarding specific aircraft and component issues.

Technical publications (AD, ASB, MSB, NPRM, SB etc.,) end-to-end management and continuously monitoring the embodiment.

Coordinate with the OEM to obtain any deviations during the time of Technical Publication embodiment.

Implementing and monitoring CPCP to detect, prevent, and manage corrosion, ensuring long-term structural integrity.

Supporting in appropriate timeframe, technical issues ranging from routine troubleshooting to long-term reliability studies.

Evaluation of reliability data and alert notification to perform root cause analysis to develop or identify corrective actions.

Provide engineering assistance with the Base/Heavy maintenance aircraft, if necessary.

Coordinate work with other operational groups to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and operational efficiency
- Organize and manage the priorities for assigned responsibilities and accomplish the work processes to meet all the deliverables for projects or maintenance program changes/technical specification revisions

Required Qualifications:
B.E / B.Tech. Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Mechanical, Aerospace), related technical field or equivalent related work experience
Minimum of 4 years at an engineer level or similar role elsewhere in the industry
The candidate should have practical knowledge of airline or OEM operations.
Knowledge of Code of Regulations (CFRs), airworthiness design and substantiation criteria, aircraft and equipment design and operational characteristics
Ability to interpret complex and technical Engineering and OEM (SRM, AMM, IPC etc.,) documents.
Familiarize with Airbus and Boeing Tools.
Highly detailed project development and management for regulatory compliance modifications, and overall ownership of specific systems
Effective communication skills and stakeholder management are essential
Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
