We are looking for someone to join our Project and Development Services (PDS) BI Team to support the business transformation to proactively using data in all aspects of our decision making. This role is not just about data modelling & reporting but will be integral member involved in a multifaceted program delivering real, measurable change that makes a difference to our people and our business.
Responsibilities:
Understand and document the business need and ensure in context of building BI solutions.
Identify and implement data acquisition programs as part of data discovery process.
Facilitate the design and development of the most appropriate model to meet and exceed the requirement.
Build visualizations that tell a compelling story and turn data into actionable insights.
Understand the current state BI landscape and facilitate define a future state that brings innovation and fresh thinking while addressing the current and future needs of the business
for our people to deliver the best outcomes for our clients within the APAC region
Create inspiration around the power of technology and data within the PDS business.
Support broader tech services team/Data Science team and collaborate effectively with integrated team of tech-focused resources.
Connect with the wider JLL community on technology and innovation to align and share ideas
Be well versed in the latest BI trends to ensure that JLL remains at the forefront of the industry by continuing innovating and improving.
Collaborate with Director of Data Science to build end to end products to client requirements including ETL protocols, statistical modelling, and visualization.
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a quantitative discipline in science, or social science. Advanced degree and/or 5-10 years of experience in the fields of information science, computer science or analytics preferred.
Business model knowledge and ability to scope a business problem and quantify numerically
5-10 Years knowledge of standard analytical, reporting and programming languages and their applications (such as SQL, R, SSRS, Python)
Understanding of Data Wrangling: Data Discovery, Acquisition & Transformation process and the specific use of tools to support Self Service data preparation and data governance.
Understanding of data and systems engineering concepts to effectively integrate and analyze data to develop actionable business information deliverables.
Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.
Background in data warehouse design and data mining.
Ability to clean data and structure according to required schema.
In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
Understanding of 'Big Data' statistical modelling techniques including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, classification, model selection, natural language processing.
Capability to self-learn new software applications and programming languages.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing.
Experience of agile project management or lean six sigma with related certifications.
Experience working in large global organizations with geographically dispersed teams and complex technical environments (Government experience preferred by not essential)
Strong customer focus with a demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with business and technical teams.
Shift timings: 8 AM - 5 PM IST
Location: Gurugram, Haryana
Skills:
Expertise in BI visualization using Microsoft Power BI, Tableau.
Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Alteryx workflows.
Translate business needs to technical specifications.
